Oh man! What a joint. Super friendly service, excellent food and a cool vibe with good music. Had the smoked Caesar which was awesome, pork belly burnt ends which melt in your mouth and then we had the smash burger and the fat bastard. Everything was great, sauces are awesome and did I mention the service was great? It costs a little more than some places but it’s well worth it. Good food and good service can be a little more, I’ll definitely be going back when I’m in town. Highly recommend this place.

Walked out of one major franchise chain to come here and boy was it a better experience! Food was amazing staff was super friendly and attentive. The mozzarella sticks were amazing and so was the rest of the food! 10/10 would recommend to anyone

OMFG! I have been in Windsor for a year and asking people about food and trying various local places. How was sawyers not mentioned! The best single dish I have had in Windsor hands down, and anywhere in a while! The server recommended their best dish and he wasn’t wrong! The rice with brisket and egg is PHENOMENAL! I will be back, a lot

Can’t say it lived up to the hype for us. I got a brisket sandwich and my girlfriend got a chicken sandwich which was concerningly undercooked (and in hindsight should’ve maybe been sent back). My sandwich was good. Pickles tasted like the ghost of dills past.

I took my son to Sawyer’s for an early dinner and we had to try everything. We got brisket fried rice which was really good, Mac and cheese and potato salad were delicious, the jalapeño sausage was amazing, brisket and pulled pork were great but the star for me was the pork belly burnt ends. WOW. They were melt in your mouth, so fatty and flavourful! I would go back just for them. My son loved trying all the bbq sauces on the table and ate all the waffle fries so they must have been good!
Highly recommend giving them a try. Price is high but well worth it for sure!!! You get what you pay for.

Really solid BBQ spot. The food overall was good, just a few slight misses like the Brussel sprouts. The Mac n Cheese & potato salad were amazing. The beef rib was good too, just slightly pricey. Definitely recommend trying this place.

Third time going third time very disappointed. Got the soup of the day a broccoli beef, the soup had ok flavour 5/10 but the cream and cheese had split the texture was mealy like porridge. The mac and cheese was bland the noodles were undercooked still very chewy some crunchy still, it was dry, and the only thing with any with flavour was the cheese crackers sprinkled on top which only served to dry the mac out further. Atmosphere was clean but dining area was uncomfortably cold counterintuitive to what i imaging a bbq place. Fooled me three times never again

We literally just moved to Windsor and this was the first place we happened to grab something to eat at. This place is hands down phenomenal. A hidden little gem. We walked in, the staff greeted us in a friendly manner and were extremely helpful. New to the city and restaurant we asked for menu recommendations & the suggestions were not wrong. We ordered the brisket, a jalapeño cheddar sausage, had lattice fries and Mac and cheese sides, for dessert we ordered banana cream pies. While we waited we shared a beer from a local brewer, all on recommendation from our server. All fantastic right down to garnishes and dips. The place is quaint, welcoming, with the friendliest staff and best of all the food is outstanding. Enjoy!!

Nice place, but not worth five stars.
The place is fine, it has air conditioning, there’s a patio too.
But it’s insane to wait 50 minutes for food, I mean, almost should be ready, just assemble the sandwich time? The cooks were chatting, dancing, going to the back to eat and then coming back to work. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to have good vibes at work, but focus on it meanwhile you play around.
About the food, the brisket sandwich was awesome, the brisket patty melt was good but just warm so it got cold almost right away. The mac and cheese were so tasty, but again, just warm so we ended up eating them cold. The potato salad was really creamy, fresh dill, good, but the potatoes by itself didn’t have any flavor.
The peach pork was very very good. For sure I’ll order that again. This was at a great temperature.
The service was good but a little messy.
If I’m coming back, I’ll eat something before going, because for sure, waiting for an hour is awful when you are starving. (And just to be clear, there were tables available and it wasn’t crowded)

Ordered the Sawyer’s Cheesesteak, half a pound of beef brisket, the max and cheese, and the coleslaw. The sandwich was great – the combination of flavors came together well and was very satisfying, but the beef brisket was even better! It was soft and tender, and when paired with the Coffee Whisky sauce tasted absolutely delectable. The mac and cheese was also amazing; the breading on top adds a solid texture and I am a big fan of the shell noodles.
The service itself was very prompt and polite, with honestly little wait time considering how busy dinner time was. Definitely a place I can see myself returning to!
