Delicious! Indian food. I love Naan, and I could eat that naan breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My mom got the Tandoori and said it was good. Kinda comes fajita style.
My dad got the Dhaba Chicken curry (5/10 spice level) and really liked his. My husband and I got the Butter Masala Chicken and we both approved!

I’m so glad I found this place! Small family owned restaurant. BEST Indian I’ve had in Phoenix and so cheap!! We had the lamb vindaloo which had a great spice level and tender cuts of meat. My partner got a lentil and bean curry dish that he loved as well. Great service, we’ll be back!

Loved the food at this place! The food was delicious and arrived quickly. There was a steady stream of customers while we were eating, but they managed to keep up with it amazingly. If you’re in the mood for some authentic and delicious South Indian food, then this is the place for you!

I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, spice level 2, and it was a yummy dish. I have a low heat tolerance, and the spice level was a tad too hot, but it still tasted good. The naan was excellent as well. Given the opportunity, I would return again.

When people ask me, what is my favorite Indian restaurant in Phoenix, I have to say when it comes to food quality, dietary restrictions, knowledgeable wait staff, and customer service, Vayal’s Indian Kitchen is Top 3 in the Valley!

We liked it so much we used them to cater for our son’s engagement!

Our extended family includes restrictions about GF Vegan, Vegetarian options, no seed oil, Jain (no onion or Garlic) which often makes going out to dinner not worth the hassle. However, we’ve consistently been able to have all these conflicting needs met at this location.

Ghee roasted Masala Dosa is a favorite as is the Kadai Curry! Today we had the Chole, Dry fried Paneer, Ghee Roasted Plain Dosa and Ghee Roasted Masala Dosa. All were Superb!

Vayal’s will be our go-to Indian food joint going forward, and this is after trying dozens of Indian restaurants in the area.

Food is authentic tasting with generous proportions and even on a busy Saturday night wait time wasn’t too bad and the place was packed.

We ordered Kadai Mushroom, butter naan, onion kulcha and chole with the carrot halwa as dessert and everything tasted amazing and fresh. It is on the spicier side (even as an Indian with a good spice tolerance), I ordered a level 5 but will try a 2-3 next time ☺️ Thanks for the great food, we will be back!!

I recently visited this charming place with my nephew, 6 month old son, and sister. We were so impressed and grateful to have found Vayal’s! There was no wait time, and the restaurant was so cozy with a great atmosphere and attractive decor. The staff was very kind and accommodating to me with my baby, and everyone was very welcoming. Service was fast and efficient, portions were large, the butter chicken was incredible! My sister’s mango lassi was so good we ordered two more for the rest of us. What more could you ask for?

Our experience at Vayal Indian Kitchen was overall okay. This time we ordered North Indian Punjabi food. Most of the food was decent, especially the Kadai paneer and Aloo gobi, which were flavorful and well-cooked. We were expecting the aloo gobi to be dry, but it came with gravy — not an issue, and it still tasted good.

However, the malai kofta was a big disappointment. We ordered it toward the end since we were short of one sabzi, but it lacked flavor completely. The gravy was watery, and the kofta balls themselves had no taste, which really brought down the meal.

They also had limited chapatis available, likely because it was close to closing time. Overall, it was an okay experience — decent food but nothing special or memorable to boast about.

Vayal’s is an excellent spot for authentic South Indian food in Phoenix! The dosa was perfectly crispy, the sambar was flavorful, and we really enjoyed the paneer sizzler as well. Overall, everything was very good and the experience was delightful. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving South Indian flavors!
