Hold up…I am so impressed not only with the food but the kind staff. This plate was packed with so much flavor! The grilled fish was cooked perfectly and there was so many large grilled shrimp. The coleslaw was different than I’ve had at other establishments. Compliments on the flavor! So glad the staff recommended the curly fries over the onion rings even though he said that was hard to choose but hand battered fresh is a win for me! Can’t wait to go back!

Have eaten here several times and usually go with catfish or shrimp, but tonight I had the Country Fried Steak with sides of green beans and mashed potatoes, with white gravy. Oh my goodness. Home-cooked southern style soul food at its best! My dinner partner had the fried pork chops and she said they were delicious as well. And of course we had sweet tea to wash it all down with. Prices are reasonable, our order was up quick, and the atmosphere is homey, with Christian worship music playing in the background. Do yourself a favor and check them out if you are anywhere within driving distance – or even if you aren’t – it would be worth the drive to Dodson! (And it’s for a great cause.)

Best spot in Winn Parish!
Came here for a lunch and was so pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was.
Food is such a bang for the buck. Roughly $13 for a dish and you’ll be taking left overs home.
I had the fried shrimp po boy. The “fried” is so light that it doesn’t taste heavy or greasy. The best way to do it!
The boudin egg rolls with the sauce are delicious.
Chips and queso – surprised me for how tasty it was! Loved this.
Can’t wait to come back with others when I am back in the area.

Amazing guys. Amazing food. Great little cafe nestled in the woods of Louisiana. 5 star cuisine also. You’d be very surprised the type of food you’ll get in a place like this. The fries and the pork tacos are the best I’ve ever had. I wish I could give 10 stars. Also, it’s all for the glory of God. These men are restoring their lives in Christ and this cafe helps to support them.

The town might be a speed trap, but this roadside cafe is a culinary catch!
The food is a surprising mix of Louisiana and Mexican fares, including catfish, burgers, chicken, and tacos. The indoors are warm and homely, and the staff is kind, attentive, and goes above and beyond.
I had a catfish po’ boy with onion rings, and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a while. No-frills, yet tasty and well-portioned. All accompanied with chips and queso, on the house!
A great place to eat, or to chill, if you’re in the area!

They make the food to order as soon as you order it. Everyone in there was nice and welcoming. The food itself was delicious. I got a kids fish for myself because I wasn’t really hungry and there was still more than enough to get full. I will definitely be back to try other items.

Alright folks, this café has a pretty sizable menu but I’m crazy for the fried catfish! These are the absolute BEST I’ve eaten anywhere and, I’ve tried them all across the country. They come with a couple of hush puppies and corn fritters, slaw and your choice of a side. I love the fried okra! Yeah, a lot of fried food…but if you only eat it once a month, your system should be able to handle it! Seriously though, this catfish is well worth the drive out to Dodson, watch your speed though….iykyk
