Went here for the first time a few days ago and fell in love! WOW! The skyline, the amount of seating, the atmosphere. Its all a 10 out of 10 for me! Bartenders were speedy and friendly, didnt get to try the food this time but their menu is better than most venue bars! Will absolutely come here again!

Easiest the favorite part of my trip, so good it was the only place i went to twice because i had to go back. Didn’t eat but just the views were different,by far the best of any high rise in the area.

Great location. Staff at skysill is less than satisfactory. I would have fired them all. Guy from corporate showed up undercover and they put on their smiling faces for a minute. He left, they went back to discount employees. Music was hype elevator music, food was better at Filibertos. Mind you, this has nothing to do with staff/food in the actual restaurant. They were all on point and restaurant downstairs was absolutely along with staff.

Loved the rooftop pool lounge! The pool is relatively small but good enough space and there is a hot tub and it’s very hot! The bar is nice. The most beautiful views and of you can catch the sunrise and sunsets, you will be in awe! Drinks are pricey, but the experience overall is to die for.

A great place to relax, unwind and get a drink from the full bar. Beer on tap. Nearby the rooftop pool.

I was really disappointed with Skysill Tempe. The view is nice, but the prices are absolutely outrageous. We ordered just two beers and two margaritas — and the bill came out to $82 before tip. The drinks were average at best, definitely not worth what they’re charging. You can find much better spots in Tempe with better service and more reasonable prices. Definitely not going back.

Been here twice for EDM events. The bar is the worst experience I’ve had at events. Spent 30 minutes directly on the bar for a drink order, 3 times in one night. That’s an hour and a half of waiting at the bar and not enjoying the event. They are always out of menu drink ingredients and beers, and will pour well soda water instead of champagne in your $28 cocktail, and not tell you they are missing ingredients.

The guy in front of me last night waited 30 minutes for a water…

My suggestion? Create an event drink menu. If your bartender can’t make the drink in 1 minute, it’s not on the menu. No more complicated cocktails. You should be rocketing beverages out. Events on the weekend are “all hands on deck” periods and should be prioritized, not just a regular Tuesday night on the roof. Especially if you’re charging a service charge, and currently provide terrible service. Do better WESTIN.

Maybe it was just an off night, but the crowd was dry and underage. The music was lame (dudes need to stop doing the MacBook DJ shit, bring back real mixing), and the bar staff was probably some of the slowest I’ve ever experienced. Perhaps this was a new crew or something? But wow. Absolutely no hustle or communication with customers about orders or wait times. Absolutely ridiculous waste of time. If you want to go hang out with 19 year olds and wait 20 minutes for a drink, try this place out

We’ve stayed at the Westin Tempe several times and really enjoy the hotel and Skysill Rooftop Lounge. The views are incredible, especially at sundown. The pool is small, seating is limited, and finding shade on a hot sunny day can be difficult, but it is a great place to chill.

Now for the bad part. The service is ridiculously slow. The bartenders seem more interested in talking to the other staff than pouring drinks. As other reviews have said, they employees tend to stand around and talk instead of serving the customers. This bar could make a killing in profit if it had bartenders and servers that were interesting in actually working the room. There is limited space at the bar so we had hoped that the servers walking around would come and take our order. After waiting more than 15 minutes and trying our best to get their attention, we had to go up to bar to order our drinks. (FYI, the “cool deck” is less than cool on hot, sunny days. If you do not have shoes/sandals on your feet, they will burn.) Even after ordering a round of drinks, the staff take forever to come around and take reorders. I would say that management needs to spend some time up there to get the staff working, but I’ve seen the managers up there and they are also just hanging out and chatting it up.

Our last night there, we went up to the pool for some late evening drinks and a little hot tub time. We got setup around the hot tub and after about 20 minutes, we finally were able to flag down an employee and asked if they were still serving. He seemed shock that we would ask but we explained that we’ve been trying to get someone to come by and take our order. While we were up there, we counted at least 8 different hotel employees just hanging out. Some were servers “working” the bar/pool area, others looked they might have been random hotel employees. We even saw a couple of facilities guys that were up there to take in the music and atmosphere. Maybe they were off their shift, but it is not a good look to that many employees lingering about and no one helping the customers. As I said, this bar could make a lot of profit if they just put in a little effort. It’s hotel priced drinks and food, the profit margins should be pretty decent, you would think there would be some hustle to get customers to rack up a nice little tab so the servers could score a healthy tip.

We will go back, because we really like the hotel, but we’ll keep our expectations at a minimum with regards to service at the rooftop bar. The atmosphere is 5 star, the service is 1 star (at best).

This is a great place to take a date, the view is fantastic! There is a nice comfortable lounge area with couches. I can’t forget to mention that they are serving world famous Jeppson’s Malört.

Spent the afternoon/evening in the pool and hot tub. It’s was a bit crowded, but we had a cabana so we were comfortable. Great place to hang out by the pool for drinks. It can be romantic, a party, or relaxing. We will continue to frequent this place, the view alone makes it worth it.
