Delarosa first opened its doors in 2010 on Chestnut Street in San Francisco’s Marina District. Now, we’re bringing our Roman-style pizza, small plates, & craft cocktails to the heart of the peninsula. Delarosa Palo Alto is the perfect place to gather over fresh Italian flavors, local beer, and California wines, all served in a warm, modern space made for sharing. Whether you’re joining us for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch, our inviting indoor-outdoor setting is perfect for any occasion.

Delarosa at Stanford Shopping Center is a solid choice if you’re in the area. The restaurant is clean, modern, and has a nice atmosphere that feels both casual and upscale.
Service was good — quick, attentive, and efficient without feeling rushed. The food was delicious across the board. We tried both pizza and pasta, and everything was flavorful and well prepared.
Overall, a reliable spot for a satisfying meal while shopping or nearby. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for good Italian food in the area.

This was our first time to this newly opened restaurant at Stanford Shopping Center. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very good! We thought that everything we ate was really flavorful and very good. We started with Burrata Bruschetta with Hazelnut & Honey. We had the Hanger Steak Spiedini and Rigatoncini (vodka sauce, pancetta). The pizzas looked really good, so we’ll have to try them next time.

We ordered the fritto misto (calamari), hanger steak, pizza (the bartender.)
The calamari was very tender and well seasoned, though the batter could have been better, it fell off pretty easily.
The hanger steak was tender and well seasoned, and the caramelized onions were great.
The pizza was good. It was a bit salty before I mixed the cheese, but once mixed, everything blended together well. The dough was crispy yet chewy, thin in the middle with a thicker crust around the edges. I ended up adding some of the onions to my pizza as well, which really elevated the flavors. When it first arrived, the pizza was very crispy, but over time it did get a bit soggy and lost that initial crisp. Great flavor overall.

The food was good, but unfortunately the bar experience ruined the visit. He did not say anything to me at all until I look at him, he was able to provide me with a menu. The drinks did not taste good at all, and the service was very poor — we were left unattended for long periods. On top of that, the hygiene behind the bar was questionable, which made us uncomfortable. The bar tender fill out my water with someone’s else water leftover, seriously come sense you do not do that. You have a tools to use but diced not to, intead you use your hands.
It’s disappointing because the food had potential, but the bar service really need improvement, if you want to open a new restaurant, make sure you hire the right bar tender for the job.

Came here with my family while my parents were in town. Two seniors, two adults and two small children. The staff handled our crew exceptionally well. Food for the kids came out quickly and was delicious, cocktails were expertly prepared and also came out fast. Food was hot, well-seasoned and fresh. We appreciated some of the more unique items like the burrata bruschetta and the seasonal salad. The pizzas were really delicious, and the pastas very fresh and perfectly al dente. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re shopping!

Everything we ordered (fried calamari and shishito peppers fritto, a seasonal salad, papardelle, margherita pizza, kids cheese pizza) was delicious. It was so good, I’d happily come back tomorrow and repeat the same meal. The service we received from Xavier and the team was great. They were also very accommodating towards our kids. We came on a weekday for lunch, and the food came out promptly. Reservations are also very easy to make via open table. Will definitely be back.

We love hanging out the bar here. A total vibe, especially with our new favorite bartender Brixton. He’s a total vibe and my friend and I love him! Tony (I think that was his name) who served us once was pretty chill and the hostess with the purple hair was really welcoming. The food is okay but maybe that was just the few times we’ve been. We go to one of them in the city a lot so we know it’ll get better! I will say the Hugo spritz is missing the mint in it which isn’t a vibe and neither is the lasagna. Overall we’ve had good experiences and will definitely keep coming back!

Made a reservation on OpenTable, confirmed it, showed up on time with a two year old, only to be told “OpenTable isn’t hooked up to our system” and directed outside. Meanwhile, 5+ tables sat empty inside the entire time we were there, huddled next to a heat lamp.
When we asked for a high chair, the maître d’ didn’t even know if they had one. You run a restaurant. How do you not know if you have kids chairs?
If your reservation system doesn’t work, that’s a you problem, not a customer problem. The front of house operation needs a complete reboot. Basic hospitality isn’t complicated: honor the reservations you accept and know what’s in your own building.

the service was exceptional by literally everyone. the vibe gives upscale, but the prices do not- they’re fair and reasonable. especially for how good the pizza is and how attentive the staff is.
I hope they keep up the great service.

It’s basically Italian fast food. The food is just okay. They offer 4 different spritzes; I ordered the Hugo and it came without the mint, which is essential. Honestly, the ones I make at home taste much better. After eating, my daughter said, “Well… at least I’m not hungry anymore.
