New in the area so I’m trying new restaurants. Today I did an online GrubHub delivery with this location. I saw this location had good reviews along with conversing on the phone with an employee from the restaurant. Honestly I assume this would be a good experience. With any delivery app I always message the driver prior to them arriving to my house telling them I appreciate them going to pick up my order. In which I do because I have a younger brother with autism. The driver did notify me he wasn’t accepting my order and left it with the restaurant. Due to one of the employees disrespecting him trying to have an argument in which I respect his decision. Fast forward another delivery driver from Grub Hub delivered my food. Even though this location has good reviews the food I recieve today was not good and very cold. My brother has food sensory issues and doesn’t like the texture of cold foods he prefers medium warm to hot. My brother had a melt my down due to the coldness of the food. M my Diane was very combative , mean and aggressive over the phone. Diane gaslighting and trying to tell my relative that we was lying on her. Diane even said she makes the best gryo salad along with this restaurant never giving customers cold foods. I have had many salads from different locations and this on today was not a quality gyro Greek salad . Now looking at older reviews I see others stating they recieve cold from this location. Originally my family only called to make her aware of the issues going on with the grub hub order . I wasn’t even going to write a review originally just wanted to call the restaurant to inform I am going to because having hospitality and common decency towards other is a big factor when running a restaurant
Also Diane stated her salads was the best gyro salads in the whole IL picture included at the bottom . Grub hub ask me to send picture of the salad ( image below ) and even they stated this salad was unacceptable for a gyro salads gave me back my full refund. Overall the little gyro this restaurant present on the salad wasn’t even fresh.

Chatted with the owners while waiting for my food. Friendly, hardworking people. These guys have been in the industry for 30+ years. The food is exactly what you expect from Chicago style hot dog joints. It’s great having these mom and pop shops around keeping chicagolands character.
The Italian beef combo is excellent. Very tender, great portion size. Much better than Portillos. Make sure to get it with mozzarella and hot peppers.
Definitely the go-to for beef, gyros, hot dogs and burgers in Arlington Heights! Highly recommend!

Love Scooby’s! Real Chicago staples like pizza puffs, hot dogs, and gyro but my favorite is the chicken pita. Prices are reasonable and the family that owns the restaurant are so kind and friendly! You have to try it and once you do you’ll go back.

I have been going here for a few years now. I Wasn’t one for doing reviews, but I decided I will start with the places that are exceptional. Scooby is small inside, but everything about the food is worth it. The fries are amazing, once I tried the ribs I had them straight for the next 5 times I went in there. Pete the owner cuts the ribs in individual pieces then puts them on the grill to crisp them up, OMG fire! I am also addicted to the strawberry shake.

Great local grill! Perfect for your chicago dogs, italian beef, burgers, tasty fries and shakes! (At least those are the items we got haha). Highly recommend! Also: please consider paying with cash! They accept cards but cash helps their business!

Showed up at 6:58pm. Called in and see if I could order. They had shut everything down and offered a gyro and fries. I was okay coming back tomorrow but they had offered me food. I got a wonderful gyro with cheese fries and a green river. After 4 years of not going there (bc of moving) their service hasn’t changed. A+++ do not hesitate to go order from them! Thank you guys again!

Came on in to stop for a quick bite, we were treated like family from our first visit. When we asked for our fries to be fresh, they did it without a blink of an eye. Very friendly staff, excellent food, will definitely be back!!!
