We came for Friday brunch. This small yet cozy interior had plenty of available seating. Our server brought us our perfectly brewed drip coffee. Our brunch meals were delicious. Their homemade corn tortillas were also great. Overall, very nice!

Overall service was very friendly and the food was delicious and well served for the price. First time here and will definitely return and recommend this place. I ordered the chicken milanesa and my wife ordered the Chile relleno with out the sauce on it, but it does come with it if you like.

They say you can tell the authenticity of. Mexican restaurant by the taste of their charro beans and their Mexican (not Spanish) rice. Well, the cuisine served at Carmelita’s is as authentic as it gets! Taking after their father’s Edinburg location, this daughter knows what she is doing! The fideo principio was excellent. The fajitas were perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. Did I mention the rice and beans!?! The flour tortillas are not homemade, but overall you really don’t notice because of the flavor of the food. Definitely worth visiting!

The Chile relleno plate is absolutely amazing. Has to be the top five best that I’ve tried down here for Mexican diners in the valley. Sweet tea is also amazing. I recommend it. I would totally come here again and probably choose it over other places I normally go to!
