Truly Awful Service and Attitudes — We Won’t Be Back

We came here last night to watch the UT/KY game, which started at 7:45. We’d originally planned to go to Roosters down the road, but it was already packed around 6:20, so we decided to give this place a try instead. When we arrived at 6:30, the bar area was nearly empty — just three men in the back and no one else in sight. The bartender was friendly and accommodating at first; when we told her we had a party of ten coming to watch the game, she gladly had a server reserve two tables for us. At that point, we were genuinely impressed and hopeful for a good evening.
Unfortunately, once the rest of our group arrived, everything went sharply downhill. There was only one other party — a group of about ten or eleven men — so it wasn’t as though the staff was overwhelmed. Our server, Sarah, seemed irritated from the moment she greeted us, as though serving us was an inconvenience. She barely interacted with our table, never checked on our food, and made zero effort to ensure anyone was satisfied.
One person’s soup came out cold, and since Sarah disappeared for nearly 15 minutes afterward, there was no chance to send it back. Another ordered bruschetta — the toppings were good, but the bread was so stale and hard it was inedible. When the barely-touched plate was finally cleared, Sarah didn’t even acknowledge it or ask how it was. We had four dirty plates sitting on our table for over an hour before someone in our group finally got up and moved them to another table just to make space.
Throughout the night, it was almost impossible to order additional drinks because Sarah was nowhere to be found. When we went to the bar ourselves, the bartender had to go find her just to get us refills. Several people who went to the restroom saw multiple employees just sitting around in the front room — clearly not busy, just disinterested.
The worst part, though, was how the staff acted once the game started. The restaurant’s own Facebook page had advertised the game and gameday specials, so it was obvious they were encouraging people to come watch. Still, as the game went on, the staff grew visibly annoyed that customers were there. They actually began sweeping under our table while we were still sitting there, and Sarah even started wiping the table down with our drinks still on it. It was unbelievably rude and made everyone uncomfortable.
By the end of the night, every single person in our group commented on how poorly we’d been treated. We couldn’t even ask to speak to a manager because Sarah was so absent the entire evening. The experience left us all shocked — not only by the lack of service, but by the sheer indifference and attitude of the staff.
It’s honestly a shame, because the space itself has potential: a nice bar area, a good layout, and a great patio. But with service this bad and such an unwelcoming attitude, it’s easy to see why the place was empty on a Saturday night. We won’t be returning, and I’d strongly caution anyone else looking for a place to enjoy a game — look elsewhere.

Got there super late and service was great! Food has gotten a lot better than it was in the past. Will come back! Fettuccini was awesome and the Cesar wedge!

As big fans of all the Union locations, my boyfriend and I were excited to try Union Station. We had a fantastic experience! The service and atmosphere were everything we’ve come to expect from Union restaurants, and the food was EXCELLENT. Fabulous pizza and chicken parm. We will certainly be back!

Came here with a group to watch a VOLS game. They were very accommodating and turned the sound on for us. There’s a dining room, bar area, and back patio. Our server was great! Super sweet and took great care of us. The garlic knots were excellent ! It went downhill once I got my meal. I ordered the Italian Hoagie. For $17 my sandwich was an actual joke. It had maybe 3 pieces of meat. Not exaggerating. The menu reads salami, cup and char pepperoni, and capicola topped with chopped lettuce, Roma tomato, red onion, banana peppers, provolone cheese, house made chow chow and Italian dressing . I received meat sliced in half to make it appear like there was more, definitely not cup and char pepperoni, no cheese, no chow chow, no banana peppers and bagged lettuce mix. I’m actually shocked they let this come out of the kitchen and had the audacity to charge $17. I will go back to watch a game and just stick to drinks since my friends liked it, but I definitely won’t be ordering food again.

Food is pretty good, their pizza which I hoped to love was average, the wings were flavorful but super duper small, spaghetti and meatballs were average. Love the outdoor seating option on the backside away from the road and they provide cooling machines which is great. Wine selection was average. Service was great.

Tonight was my first visit to Union Station, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff. We were there for a book club meeting and initially sat inside, but when we asked to move to the patio for a better conversation space during trivia, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They rearranged tables, made sure we were comfortable, and even offered us a heater.

Our server, I believe her name was Brett, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The entire experience was wonderful, and I truly appreciate the exceptional service. Everyone seemed to love the food too. I’ll definitely be back! Thanks for making our night so enjoyable!

Nice bar and restaurant, with cool outdoor patio. There’s something for everyone in the menu and the bar. Wings with Dry Rub are awesome. Trivia on Tuesdays is lively. Bring a team and go at it.

A very pleasant surprise tucked away in Rocky Hill. Came for Saturday lunch (in part for more gluten free menu options). The atmosphere was laid back. The music was eclectic and just the right level for good conversation. The people were very nice, and the Southside Philly Burger with fries was excellent. Plenty of toppings, great bun, juicy burger done to order, and perhaps our new favorite french fries around Knoxville.

I was a little skeptical trying a new Italian restaurant. I haven’t had much luck in Knoxville, but was very pleasantly surprised! The garlic knots were fresh from the oven and were delicious! I personally would have used more garlic, but for the general public, it was a good amount. I had the Chicken Parmesan pasta and the chicken was perfect! The spaghetti was a little overcooked, but the marinara sauce was excellent and made up for the pasta. The service was excellent! Holly was very attentive and outgoing. We will definitely come back!

I really wanted to love this place being a Rocky Hill resident for 35 years, and being a Pero’s on the Hill regular diner ever since Sammy opened it, but……..
Location and atmosphere are fantastic!!! Service is great and the patio is absolutely wonderful. The only thing that holds me back a bit is the pricing seems to be extremely above average for this type of casual restaurant. 2 Bruschetta chicken sandwiches with fries and 2 waters were $34.00 before tax and tip. So that is $37.15 including the sales tax, and when you leave a standard 20% tip the total with just ok service would be $44.58. That just seems to be a little high in my humble opinion for a quick meal for 2 people with just water to drink. I think the best future option for my wife and I will just be the pizza. That would be about $17.00 bucks for a large Cheese pizza before any additional toppings, taxes, and tip!! I recommend the place most definitely, but just my opinion……….
