So…. The wife wanted me to try this place, she said the Turkey Hoagie was delicious & they had a ‘Bobie’ type Hoagie….
She ordered a Turkey Hoagie w/ Mayo & Pickles w/ Mayo & pickles on the side and I ordered the Primo Pilgrim w/ lettuce – special instructions to warm in oven.

Her Hoagie came with onions & looks like the they put lettuce on it and tried to remove the lettuce but left the onions.
Mayo on the side but no pickles.
Mine had Tomatoes & lettuce-Didn’t order Tomatoes AND its cold…..
The so called ‘stuffing’ is not.. its mushy croutons (not cut up toast – Croutons-)
BTW they Required a name for each Hoagie order but didn’t mark either Hoagie.
Wife recommended the coleslaw but I declined… upon arrival to pickup the hoagie, I thought about it… and asked the guy at the counter if I could get a taste of the coleslaw, just a spoon full…
He talked to another guy about it and came back to say it would be $1.00….. a dollar to taste it… how much is it, $20 a pint???
The wife says the Primo in Paoli is better & consistent. She eats there on a regular bases. Customer service at this location is unacceptable. You don’t deliver what is expected. For the price I could go to Claymont steak shop and get my meal correct. For customers not all Primos are the same. Skip this location and go to any other shop in the area. Primo Claymont is sloppy and unprofessional.

When you want a hoagie you want a big sandwich with at least 1/2lb of meat. So this is what I got for $10. Literally 3 pc of meat on a hard roll. This is their small on Philadelphia Pike. When I go to the South Philly location on Ritner St I can barely close the hoagie roll. Then the server gets annoyed because I asked did he change his gloves because he had gloves on when taking my cash. I gave the food a 2 only because the flavors are there but the quantity wasn’t.

Although the surrounding area is residential, it can be challenging on find which side to park.
The sandwiches are good. The chips and cookies are pricey based on the size. But overall, I was satisfied.

Where do I start with this review? PrimoHoagies is THE best place for a hoagie. You’re not only getting just a slice of bread with some meat and toppings, you’re getting a house-made masterpiece crafted with care and perfection. Not only did this taste heavenly, it was reasonably priced! The staff were super friendly and helpful since it was my first time at the restaurant.

I HIGHLY recommend to give this place a try if you’re in the area. 10 out of 10.

Also if you’re a fan of chips, I definitely would try their own PrimoHoagies chip’s. Tastes just like a hoagie!

Drove 45min for 2 hoagies I ordered online. Paid a $5 tip. Hoagies had very little meat, bread falling apart, quality is terrible compared to Ritner street. They also forgot crush red peppers. I called to have it rectified and was told “ well what you want me to do?” With an attitude. This Primos can’t stand next to the one in south Philly on Ritner street. Those hoagies are much better. Service is great and they are not stingy with the meat. I do not recommend.

Delicious hoagies, Amazing sides. Truly the authentic hoagie-second to NONE. I’ve recently started having Primos Claymont cater our work meetings and everyone loves the food. The prices are excellent, especially in comparison to other places that used to cater for us. The only difference is the QUALITY of the food!! Jen and her staff are professional, so friendly and accommodating. This place is a gem!!

First time visiting primos in over 4.5 years and man I have missed it. The Buffalo chicken cutlet is by far the best hoagie they have. Friendly employees and clean store.
