El Tropico has been a local favorite for over 15 years. At El Tropico you will find authentic hand crafted ice cream in traditional and unique flavors. Tropico uses the finest and freshest ingredients, ensuring that each scoop is truly a treat. We also produce paletas (fruit pops), fruit drinks, and a variety of snacks. Our founder is a third generation ice cream maker. Tropico began the dream to become the best ice cream makers in Amarillo, in 2003. Their success was proven due to the need to expand the Tropico brand in other nearby cities creating Tropico licensees. Our Perryton location is owned by Rafael Estrada and Gerardo Delgado which reopened under there leadership April 14th 2024.
