Located inside the beautiful garden of “Jardin de Biehn” in the heart of the ancient medina.
They welcomed us even if almost closed (too late) and served us a free appetizer with the order of 2 glasses pf wine.
It’s a pity that we couldn’t have dinner.
Thanks anyway!

We loved this place so much that we ate here several times during our visit to Fes. Service is outstanding—we felt so welcome! Such a nice place for a glass of wine (yes, one of the few places in Fes to serve alcohol) and delicious food. The menu is small but changes daily and the quality of food is superb. I especially liked the carrot soup and the array of appetizers. My sister had an excellent chicken tagine and my husband enjoyed a duck salad. Mix of traditional Moroccan with contemporary.

I can’t say enough positive things about this restaurant. The service was out of this world and the location is amazing. Very Scenic for anyone wanting to take pictures. Not as crowded as the tourist spots nearby. I was really in the mood for steak and they didn’t have any on their menu that night as they switch up the menu daily, but they made an accommodation for me and it was delicious. Probably the best steak that I had in Morocco.

Set in the gardens of a hotel, this restaurant has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. There was a musician playing as well – a lovely spot.

There was a blackboard menu with three or so options for entree, main and desert. The food was good though I would have appreciated some greater options to meet my tastes. We had a good bottle of wine to accompany our meal. Service was attentive and professional.

All in all a nice place to eat. It is, however, a little more pricey than some other restaurants we tried in Morocco.

Beautiful restaurant in a wonderfully calm garden. Well recommended. We just had cocktails and a starter.

We loved this place! They were full and busy but found us a table for the evening. Delightful staff. And fabulous food and wine selection. And the garden and setting is just fabulous. Perfection!

I just enjoyed a lovely dinner at Fez Cafe! With an ever changing menu and mellow vibe, they really know how to feed your heart and soul. The atmosphere is welcoming and calming, the staff is very attentive and helpful, and the food was DELICIOUS!

There are times you should ignore what guide books or Netflix series tell you. I felt like telling anyone who hasn’t yet ordered, to just leave. I truly don’t like having bad food when I’ve limited meals in a city or town.

Don’t get me wrong. The place is gorgeous and serves alcohol! The (white) wine was really great. And maybe the other things on the menu might have been better but come on, you can’t get Tajine wrong in Morocco!

But the food was a big let down. The Chicken Tajine was dry, the chicken had no seasoning or flavor, and the cous cous was meh. This was my second night in Fes so I had already had probably the best Chicken Tajine already the previous night (Ouliya for the curious). I have added so much salt and spices to it yet it still is not great.

The service was also pretty lacking. I had been here at around 5pm and told that I don’t need to make a reservation. Then at 7:45, I walk in and am given a table inside and not where I would have preferred (apparently because there’s a reservation at 8pm). It’s empty till 8:30 when they finally give it to a random couple who just walked in.

You can see the dry and tasteless chicken and the empty table in the photos

5 stars for the lush garden and beautiful setting, making it a great place to rest and escape the medina.
Would recommend to have a drink rather then having a meal though.

My overall favorite place in Fez. It’s not cheap but that about all you can say about this place that is not perfect. The lush vegetation is beyond very beautiful and the service is super friendly and casual.
Their menu varies regularly and everything we tried was delicious as well as their home made drinks.
