NO. NO. NO. Don’t do this to yourself. I had high hopes for the food here. The prices were a little higher. I assumed you received large portions of great BBQ. The food came in small portions on cheap styrofoam plates. The food was not good at best mediocre (think Pulled Pork, Coleslaw and Macaroni and Cheese made for senoirs in a nursing home or a hospital). I don’t know what they did to the Hush Puppies, I think they my have microwaved them, they had no crunch and were mushy. I’m totally disappointed in the food and hope… I don’t know what to say to end on a positive note… Local Smoke BBQ is 4 minutes from here, it has much better food.

Fast. Friendly. Good brisket. Good prices. Clean. So I’m updating my review I’ve eaten at this place about a dozen times and about 3 weeks ago I got the brisket a pound of it. And it seemed a little light. I was at work and I couldn’t actually weigh it. This morning I went there again and got another pound of brisket this time I weighed it. It was 11 oz. I think the plastic container probably weighs an ounce also so I probably only got about 10 oz of brisket. So basically I paid $18 for 10 oz of brisket. Take my word for it it does taste good but it’s not that good! So at least twice now they’ve totally gotten over on me and I have definitely not gotten anything near a pound of brisket and paid $18. I have to admit it does taste good but you know what I’m not going to pay $18 for 10 oz of brisket in New Egypt! It’s not that good! Sorry sweet Carolina but you won’t be seeing any more of me. By the way I only ask for a side of coleslaw which is $2 and they gave me a large container which I guess is two sides and four dollars so I guess they figure they made up for only giving me 10 oz of brisket by giving me a double order of coleslaw! LOL! Weigh your food folks, weigh your food. We just like to remind everybody that they charged me $28.80 a pound for brisket in New Egypt New Jersey! LOL!

I realllly was hoping to go a good bbq spot near base.
I went here today and the food was beyond bad. Mac and cheese was clearly powder cheese (not baked) the food was under seasoned so bad i questioned why even call this a bbq spot ?
I go back in after i call the girl to tell her how under seasoned it is (she said she prepped the food she usually doesn’t cook) please explain why even open if you don’t have a chef.

The food here is amazing! Speaking as a true meat lover, I can tell you that the pulled pork and ribs are absolute perfection! We ordered the smoked full turkey for Thanksgiving and that was a first. I usually bake it myself but will order from these guys moving forward. So juicy and flavorful! The owners are down to earth and sweet people. I highly recommend them. My new favorite place to go!!!

My fiancee and I were in the mood for some BBQ and she remembered passing by Sweet Carolina’s while out shopping.
I don’t know what that other reviewer was talking about but the food did NOT taste reheated or microwaved.
My fiancee ordered the sweet burger medium well and it was exactly as she wanted it cooked.
The pork and beans side had a lot of great flavor and I really enjoyed my half rack of ribs that had a slight taste of that bbq char.
My sweet potato fries were also good and the website is now updated to warn customers about the price of beef and their meals.
Now the Mac n cheese was pretty ordinary and the regular fries (like all fries) didn’t hold up too well. And I didn’t like the hush puppies.
I was originally going to leave 4 stars which is still great. But after seeing this other guy’s review I increased to 5 because the girl who took our order was friendly, the website was updated, and our food was great.
Would order from here again.
