Spring rolls were a little dry and the sauce was kind of bland. Had to add sriracha for more flavor.
Pho was bland and served lukewarm.
Banh Mi had the most flavor but pork was dry.
Iced coffee tasted burnt and gross. Was a ripoff for $5.
The lady serving our food was sweet though.
Sorry but I don’t recommend this spot. I think it’s okay for a quick lunch. Since it’s near Hermann park, it’s an ok option if you’re starving and craving Vietnamese. But if you can be patient and are willing to travel, I’d suggest trying Vietnamese food at a more solid location..
There are so many Vietnamese restaurants in Houston offering Banh Mi, but this one is conveniently located near me. Their ribeye Banh Mi is absolutely delicious! I love the marinade on the meat, and I’ve been hooked on it since the first bite.
On a whim, I also tried their pho broth. I wasn’t a fan, but I think it’s just because I’m not a fan of the herbs traditionally used in pho broth. However, back to the Banh Mi—it’s really the highlight of my visits.
Now, while the food is great, the customer service leaves much to be desired. In my experience, it’s been very mediocre—there’s a lack of enthusiasm, no smiles, and the staff comes off as robotic.
Aside from the proximity and the delicious Banh Mi, I probably wouldn’t return, especially considering the service. I also tried the cream cheese wontons (or rangoons, depending on who you ask). They were pretty tasty! If I wasn’t trying to cut back on dairy, I would definitely order them every time I visit.
cons: There is scarce seating and parking.
thank you
Was in the area and was glad to be able to pay them a visit.
Parking lot is rather small. During prime hours and when I left, it could be difficult to find a spot. There were cars waiting to pull in as soon as I pulled out.
The service was lacking but staff were friendly. After you order there is no service. They could also use some pho spoons vs a regular spoon to enjoy their broth.
The food came quickly, after it was ordered and was delicious. Fresh ingredients, great flavors, and didn’t break the bank. Portion sizes were perfect (Meat to Noodles).
It’s a great little spot, wouldn’t mind at all going back to try more of their dishes.
