We cultivate an affordable farm-to-table experience for those who find meaning in what they eat, where it comes from, and the community it nourishes. At Coldwater, we grow, bake, and serve our own food, using local grains, fresh produce from our urban garden, and ingredients sourced from small-scale farmers and producers to craft scratch-made meals, hand-shaped breads, and thoughtfully brewed drinks. As a worker-owned cooperative, we aren’t just a café—we’re a full-circle food system where every dollar spent supports sustainability, people-first economies, and a space for real connection.

in Avondale and it was such a great experience! The coffee was absolutely amazing, and the vibes were perfect cozy, welcoming, and full of vintage charm.
We ordered the BLT and the kids’ waffles, and everything was delicious and fresh. I love that everything is organic, and they even grow their own vegetables right in the backyard you can truly taste the quality and care in the food.
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It does have a bit of a wait at times, but trust me it is completely worth it. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great food, amazing coffee, and a relaxed vintage feel, this is the place!
Highly recommend! ☕
We also had an iced brown sugar latte and an iced vanilla latte, both smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. Easily some of the better lattes in the area.
The atmosphere is warm, the service is friendly. It has a cozy, relaxed, comfortable feel that makes you want to stay a while.
Ordered online 3 bollos: ham & cheese, chorizo & egg, and sausage & green chile. As well as a cold brew.
Driving up to place feels like you’re going into someone’s house. Inside was pretty packed with people. All the staff were super sweet and lovely. They all knew my name when I was coming in. I guess I was the only take out order haha. They had a nice assortment of pastries breads and local goods like soaps and honey.
Definitely would love to come back and eat in.
The food was so great. You can tell these are made fresh and in house. My favorite was the sausage & green chile. As well they gave me salsa and this stuff was so flavorful and very spicy. Reminds me of Peruvian ají that my grandma makes.
5 stars all around. Highly recommend this place. Seems great to go in if you want to work on your laptop, hang out, have breakfast or brunch with friends. Most likely will be my new spot for the weekend. Thanks Staff!
