Buffet is still not open. We dined in and it was good. One selection off the menu was more than enough to fill us up.

I have eaten at Ming’s twice in the last week. I am thrilled they are open for dine-in menu orders. There is finally good Chinese food in Houghton again. My most recent order included Crab Rangoons, Shrimp Lo Mein, and General Tsao’s Chicken with steamed rice. There’s a bit missing from each of the photos because we were hungry and wanted to taste the food as soon as it arrived. Delicious! And plenty for leftovers. I hope the buffet will also eventually return.

BE CAREFUL IF YOU HAVE A PEANUT ALLERGY! Normally I love the food here, but I just ordered something that isn’t supposed to have any peanuts and ended up having an allergic reaction (peanuts are the only thing I’m allergic to). I called the restaurant to double-check there shouldn’t be any peanuts in the food (Hunan beef) – I talked to one employee and the manager (?) and all they would say was that there are no peanuts in that dish. I said that they might have a cross-contamination issue then, but the manager (or whoever it was) didn’t react or seem to care at all and just asked if I had any more questions. It seems like this should be something to take seriously. I’m not comfortable eating here anymore.

Food quantity and quality has went down tremendously. Was better when it was a buffet. It would be nice if the food was a good as it was 10 years ago. This use to be my favorite Chinese place. Now its at the bottom of my list. Amount of rice you get with takeout is shameful. Dont waste your money folks.

Large yummy portions. Service was nice and friendly. Got seated right away. I got soup with my dinner which was too much food and also pushed me over the $20 mark.

The quality of the food is very bad, I ordered Buddhist delight, it was filled with broccoli and too sweet. The service quality was also not good, the server was getting confused and served some other stuff

Bring the buffet back…if I’m paying 30 bucks for average “Chinese food” at least give me some options.

Was disappointed about the buffet still being shut down, but we really enjoyed our beef curry and fried rice, and the waitress was an absolute gem.

Although I miss the buffet, you can’t go wrong ordering off the menu. I love the hot and sour soup, the egg rolls, and most of the items on the menu.

Had Vegetable Lo Mein and Black Pepper Chicken for take-out, both were quite good.
