It took us 15 minutes to get a table in a moderately empty restaurant, simply because the staff was very confused about where to make us sit. Next thing placed us next to the billing and checkout counter, even though there were 20 other places available.
When we asked for a drink, the waiter simply said he doesn’t know if this drink exists and left us hanging for another 15 minutes!
While the food was great, the chef added a lot of extra pepper to our rice, making it a bit to peppery unnecessarily.
Despite the poor service and dirty ambience( there were dirty hand towels all around not looked after) The food was decent!
Quite frankly the pork belly was phenomenal:)
Please improve your service and cleanliness!!
Only suggestion is would be good if someone explain how to go about picking and mixing for buffet in the beginning for first timers.
A simple order of non-veg fried rice was incorrect, in fact the chef never confirmed our order with us before cooking the meal – something that was a given at TK’s earlier. Forget checking the order, he didn’t even check for spice levels or cook on the meat. This followed by getting the order wrong, and one would imagine that as a courtesy the restaurant of such calibre would do something to appease their guests, but obviously nothing. The food itself was below average – over-salted prawns in yellow curry, over-cooked gyozas, incorrect rice order, chewy tenderloin and missing fried garlic chips, don’t make for a fun evening!
It was my wife’s birthday and I had asked for a cake which never showed up. I subsequently asked for a candle on a dessert, which was not facilitated either – despite being told this was confirmed.
Definitely not returning to TK’s and very happy about shifting my annual F&B membership from The Hyatt to The Claridges, which has much better quality, service and pricing across all their restaurants.
Overall it was a good experience.
The food was awful
The chefs wore stained aprons and were overworked .The coordination while making the food was bad ..everything tastes the same.
The server had a very bad body odour..
What has happened to this place ?
And we did not even have a card to avail any discounts …to pay a five digit bill for this awful food and service depressed us !!
There was nothing that stood out, from a 5 star restaurants you would expect wowed expeience from taste, presentation and variety perspective.
Teppanyaki preparation lacked variety, we have tried 5 different meats but they all tasted almost same
Salads and mocktails were interesting.
