Idyllic rooftop restaurant with delicious traditional Vietnamese food. When you enter the building, you have to walk up several flights of stairs to get to the very top. It might feel like you’re going the wrong way, but just keep on moving. The restaurant is a nice respite after walking around the tourist area near the opera house and Notre Dame. I highly recommend getting one of their fresh juices. They come unsweetened, but they give you a little pot of simple syrup/sugar water so that you can sweeten to your level of liking. I had their shrimp, tofu, appetizer, and green mango salad with fish. Both were delicious.

Secret Garden on Pasteur Street is one of those places that instantly makes you slow down. Tucked away on a rooftop, it feels calm and intimate, with a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The setting is beautiful without trying too hard, -soft lights, greenery, and an easy, chill vibe that makes you want to linger. The menu is well balanced and thoughtfully put together. My favorites were the selection of fresh rolls, light and refreshing, and the minced meat stuffed in lemongrass, which was aromatic and full of flavor. Everything felt well prepared and satisfying without being heavy. Service was quick and genuinely kind, adding to the overall comfort of the experience. A great spot to enjoy good food, relaxed energy, and a peaceful rooftop escape in the city.

Cool setting, but a “one and done” kind of place.
Secret Garden has a great rooftop vibe tucked away in an old apartment building with a decent city view. However, the experience didn’t quite match the price point.
The Food: The 10-piece mixed spring rolls were tasty and fresh, but the mains were a letdown. The grilled chicken was well-cooked but completely flavorless (my son wouldn’t even finish it), and the Banh Xeo lacked any real punch.
The Service: Very frustrating. We had to ask four times for a simple drink, and then they double-billed us for it.
The Atmosphere: Disappointed they only serve canned beer—no draft or bottles. It felt overpriced for the quality, and we noticed no one really lingered. It’s an “eat, drink, and leave” kind of spot.
Summary: Go for one appetizer and the view, then head elsewhere for a proper dinner.

BEWARE. Food mainly good. Service good. Outdoor covered seating on the 6th floor of a building. The rolls tasted good. The pancake thing was full of beans sprouts and not much else. Not great.

Our bad for not asking the surcharge at that place to use a credit card. IT WAS 20%. Usually 3 to 5%. We get back to the hotel and get ready to leave and see an extra 105,600. Call the restaurant. The person answering did not know the service charge rate. Asked us to come the next day. Told him we were leaving that night. He did not care. Add that to the extra 3000 napkins charge and I can see why not too many locals were eating here. Be careful if you go.

This rooftop restaurant is worth checking out if you can find it’s discreet entrance. Once we found it, we walked up several flights of stairs. There was friendly service and some delicious food, despite a mix up on one of the orders. There is not much of a view though.
There is no gluten free menu available.

Very hidden! After walking up a number of stairs, you’re rewarded by a fabulous private terrace with wonderful locally made food, set against a fantastic skyline. The service is excellent and the food is superb. A great place to dine. Not noisy, calm and respectful. Give it a go… and keep it secret!

Found this place via chatgpt’s recommendation. Hard to find it very secluded on top of an old apartment building. You have to take the stairs 4 floors up if I remember it correctly.

Just ordered 1 dish a sampler of their rolls. Serving size was good. Very quiet and serene place. Staff were friendly. Really good experience overall as long as the weather is nice.

The food here is really delicious, I highly recommend the soba noodles and beef skewers. The sauces that all of the dishes are served with are definitely a highlight. It’s kind of hard to find as it’s on the top floor of a relatively inconspicuous building but if you find it, it is definitely worth it.

We were thoroughly impressed with the food; it was much better than we anticipated. The staff deserves major praise. They were incredibly helpful in coordinating a small, instant surprise for our friend and even assisted us with a last-minute cake order. Thank you for the wonderful service!

We were looking for place for a light meal before going to water puppet show and had this restaurant on the way from our hotel on the list.
The restaurant located on the 6th floor of sort of a residential looking apartment building.
There is a restaurant name sign in front of the building. But first you have to walk into sort of an apartment courtyard with many motorcycles packed walkway.
The view on the top was very nice. It’s mostly open outdoor restaurant with a moveable roof for sun and rain. Lovely bit of garden in the middle of the place.
We had 3 dishes to share between the 3 of us, squid herbs salad, grilled fish with garden salad, and steam lemongrass clams. We also had 2 desserts to finish off the meal, some coconut mix beans with green chewie and a longan mix dried fruits sweet. The food was okay and the place is very relaxing. However there were not really anything I can called service, as it was hard to even find the staff to order food with.
