I recently visited a wonderful Peruvian spot called Canastas with my youngest son . When he got his order he was disappointed because he failed to look at the large selection of choices they offered- then he asked me what I wanted. I tried their green rice and pinto beans, which were seasoned just right and had a perfect texture. They also served up some delicious grilled chicken and a side of plantains that were super tasty. Everything flowed together really well. The service was quick, and the food came out hot and perfectly seasoned. The second time I went, I just ordered a bowl of the green rice and a bowl of the pinto beans, and it was just as satisfying. Definitely a place worth returning to!

I absolutely love this place! I recommend the lab chops, (make sure you get extra sauce for the lamb)green beans and fried rice the plantins are good as well. I also tried the half quarter chicken dark meat(dipping sauce). You won’t be disappointed. The lamb chops are a little pricey, but it’s worth every bite.

Flavorful And Seasoned Most Restaurant Establishments Rely purely On Their Signature Sauce for Flavor. This isn’t the case here!! Highly recommend! First time here. I’ll be back I Purchased The Chopped Chicken Sandwich

It’s a hit or miss at this place. Food is usually good but the service sucks all the time. The previous owners when it was called Salsa Chicken had better service. I’ve been here four times and they make you feel like they’re doing you a favor. Today I ordered takeout meal for one, no drink, no desert. Spent $19.08 and paid $20 cash. Left $7 at the tip bucket (35%) and was asked, do you want your change? I said yes. Not too happy about counting 92 cents she basically threw the change at me. Some coins dropped and the ones placed on my hand went in the tip jar. Not a lthank you” or a “have good evening.”
Chicken Fiesta is 10 extra minutes from my home. I will be driving the extra 10 minutes. For the last 17 years at Chicken Fiesta I’ve been greeted, treated right, and provided with great service. I guess that is why Chicken Fiesta has been around for some time and places like Canasta Chicken have to change owners and usually stay empty.
To the business owner: if your business is truly selling food and you depend on selling food then you probably need to retrain your employees. If you don’t need to sell food and don’t need happy customers to succeed, keep it up, you’re doing a great job at keeping people away.

First time there. I ordered Papa a la huancaína. Potatoes were steaming hot, they were supposed to be cold like the authentic plate. Too many potatoes not enough sauce. Not going back

This is the second time I’ve been to this restaurant. First time I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Second time garbage again. Will not have to worry about me spending my money with them anymore. Will not recommend you guys. I ordered the chicharron crispy chicken thighs what they called it garbage vegetarian quesadilla it was watery and disgusting and a steak quesadilla looks like steakums that ain’t no real steak That was watery as well. Y’all ought to be ashamed of yourself. Serving stuff like that to people. If I could have gave y’all less than a one star I would have . I will not be returning And I went home hungry thinking I was going to have a good lunch. Didn’t happen

A coworker and I decided on Peruvian food for lunch. They were busy but moving quickly. We both ordered the quarter chicken dark and it was so flavorful! I ended up ordering a whole chicken for my family dinner to go. The sides were good but the tiramisu- amazing!

The shrimp on a stick was perfectly grilled. It tasted really good! The guacamole had too much lime. Potatoes and plantains were great. Overall, food was tasty.

Amazing food! The chicken is moist and flavorful, fried yucca is just like mom makes it at home, pico and the pepper/onion mix is delicious, and mom loved the shrimp! If eating in, have patience as it isn’t fast food, but it is well worth the wait!

We got a to go order from here and were not disappointed. I usually don’t like chicken on the bone, but the flavoring is so good from Canasta’s. The side salad was fresh, and the fried plaintains were good. Overall, it was a great meal. My husband enjoyed the skirt steak and rice with fried plaintains and yucca.
