Have been here before but never wrote a review. The Schnitzel has always been excellent, and if you come for lunch you won’t need any more food afterwards. I would replace the potato salad with fried potatoes; the cranberry sauce goes perfectly with the Schnitzel. The waiters are very friendly, but the service, for a restaurant of this kind, lacked professionalism (no napkins, no butter knives, and the second beer order was forgotten). Still, I will be back next year.

We made a reservation at this German restaurant for lunch. The service was okay, but our main dishes were left out initially.

The tartar and schnitzel were delicious, and the portions were generous. However, the seasonal menu of the deer was average.

Well, it’s okay place, for us it was just fun to meet some ‘famous’ people in Germany. Otherwise it’s just a huge canteen with open space, with not bad food. It’s very little space between tables. Prices are okay. I took a steak argentine and veggies, steak was ok but not super, veggies was not well prepared.

Borchardt is an exceptional place to celebrate special occasions or have a date. Perfect german food, made of high-quality ingredients, in combination with sweet cocktail and freshly-made bread will gift you one of the best gastronomical experiences of your whole life. Atmosphere is quite fancy, and the food prices are higher than in ordinary places in Berlin, and it is totally justified, given the history of the place and the level of service.
And all I would say — it is definitely worth every spent euro! I would like to visit this place one more time (or ten times more)
Would definitely recommend!
P.s. highly recommend to book a table in advance

Borchardt is a true Berlin classic! We had the Wiener Schnitzel – golden, crispy, and absolutely delicious – and the steak tartare, which had a fresh and original flavor. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, perfect for a relaxed evening. Prices are a bit high, but for the taste and experience, it’s definitely worth it!

Traditional german restaurant. Service was very nice. I had the famous veal schnitzel, with cranberries and hot potato salad. Prices on the higher end, but worth every euro.

Some places don’t need reinvention — they just need to deliver. Borchardt’s does, time and again. The room is part of the fun: a curious crowd, especially on a weekday when it feels more effortless (weekends can get a bit runway-ish).

Service is proper old-school: busy, sharp, and consistently professional. Food-wise I keep coming back to the schnitzel — reliably top-tier, with sauce, lingonberries and cucumber salad (also easy to share). Starters are solid too; the burrata with tomato chutney is a safe pick.

One recurring downside: reservations and seating can feel a little unpredictable. Still, it’s a dependable choice for a good night out.

Really tasty dishes, although the EUR 14 truffle extra didn’t add any flavor, and the service took a bit to warm up. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the meal.

I tried cod for the first time instead of schnitzel, and I received a great recommendation for an alcohol-free Riesling. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I found it to be overpriced for the quality of the food. It seems that the pricing is more about the location and status than the quality of the meal itself.

Old grandeur that still lights till today. The private rooms are perfect when you want to discuss business without the crowd present. The food is very high level, excellent wine and service. One recommendation, choose a better Chablis, not crisp and fresh enough.
