We ordered the roast beef, chicken tenders, and onion rings.
The staff were professional and the establishment was spacious, clean, and looked new.
There was outdoor seating too, so we opted to sit outside, and they brought the food to us. The onion rings were seasoned and so was the coating on the chicken. They had a crunch to it and were not soggy.
The hubby enjoyed the roast beef and ate his entire sandwich within a few short minutes.
Also the different sizes of roast beef sandwich means more meat on the same sized bun.

I can count on friendly staff and delicious food when I stop in at Kelly’s. They have a bigger menu than I’d expect but to be honest the roast beef is so good that it’s always what I get. And the onion rings are out of this world. Best in Pinellas country IMHO

Pic may look good but the clams tasted weird and batter was bad. Scallops were frozen with no flavor. Its why they pile it up with fries
Roast beef was over cooked and bland tasting.
Corporate needs to retrain the manager and chefs here…

Ok so there is a huge nostalgia piece to this place if you are from New England and enjoyed clams and lobster rolls at the beach on summer vacation. I’m not, so I’m going to review like a Florida local. The food they make is kinda a treat or vacation food because it’s high in calories….but it’s pretty good. The onion rings are perfect. The roast beef is legit and the sandwich is tasty with the garlic bread roll and tangy bbq sauce. The staff was great and there is inside or outside seating.

It isn’t like Florida lacks for clam chowder or Maine lobsters, but there was one key element of the New England food pyramid missing: Hot roast beef sandwiches with cheese, mayo, and tangy BBQ sauce. Ladies and gentlemen, the food pyramid is now complete. Kelly’s, one of the major players in the Massachusetts roast beef sandwich biz, has taken their recipes south and opened up a really clean, modern, and delicious home in South Pasadena. You have to check them out. They are located where the old Pasadena Steakhouse (since demolished) was located, kitty corner to Pasadena Hospital. They have done a great job with the place, the staff is very friendly, and the food is amazing. Go now. Eat roast beef.

My husband and I have been seeing commercials for Kelly’s for a while now, so we finally decided to give it a try. I had the steak and cheese and he had a roast beef sandwich. Both were very good! There was no line, customer service was excellent! I wish I would have checked the gentleman’s name tag so I could mention him in particular. He was very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely come back.

Kelly’s Roast Beef was a pleasant surprise. The Roast Beef was cooked to perfection, and the Toasting of the bun was excellent. The sandwich had a very good flavor. The Fries were pretty good as well. I will have to go back and try the other food they offer.

The food here is amazing. If you love roast beef, then you have to try thiers. Its pied high and always perfect. I am also a fan of the cheese steak. The large fries is a large fries. Easily enough fries for two people. Im here atleast twice a week. Oh and best part they have a drive-thru.

Being from New England, North Shore beef is something you can’t find well outside of southern New England. Kelly’s is considered the standard. I actually never had Kelly’s in Mass, I had Bill & Bob’s and Giovanni’s were my go-to.
I have to say, while the sandwiches are built correctly, I was hoping for shredded lettuce and not the butter crunch lettuce. Other than that, it was a trip down memory lane biting into the sandwiches.
I also ordered some whole-belly clams. It had been almost a decade since I had them, and they fried them perfectly. The breading was not overdone, and it was all just right.
I sort of drove 4 hours to eat there, so any let-down in an exaggeration. I knocked it down from a 5-star review to a 4-star review, but if I am in the area, I’d stop by again.
It’s nothing like Arby’s, so if you are expecting that, you’re not going to like it, or you’re going to never want Arby’s again, either way!
