Mandan is also known for its many restaurants which offer many cuisines, some of which have served the city for decades, one such restaurant is our very own Ohms Cafe. Ohms Cafe has been in Rhonda Schantz’s family for 26 yrs. It is definitely one of the places to go to for homemade and German food when in Mandan.

This place was legit. Shoutout to Clem! Came here for the caramel rolls and got the last one. Service was quick with a smile. My colleague got the chicken fried steak. It said it came with a roll but it was a slice of bread. This place is no frills. Other colleague ordered a bun-less cheeseburger. No judgement. Everything was tasty. Because they’re named Ohm, there’s a gnome. Love it! Plenty of parking. Enjoy this neighborhood gem!

Eggs Benedict was great, nice runny yolk. Place was packed but the one waitress did awesome keeping up and keeping everyone happy.

Stopped for lunch for work and had some delicious breakfast. First time eating here but definitely wont be the last. Food was amazing staff are friendly and helpful. Looking for some good home cooking stop here you wont regret it!!!

Ohm’s is our favorite brunch spot. We eat here 40-45 times per year if that tells you anything. My favorite is the hot beef but I also love the burgers, fries and biscuits and gravy. Their specials of the day are just like grandma used to make. The owners and staff are friendly and super hard working. Highly recommend.

Time for me/us to stop patronizing this place, and shelf the memories of yesteryear; meeting here from better times is a distant memory, apparently. The current attitudes/tone reveal as unfriendly too many times now, here, don’t cut it; we prefer an all around more user-friendly atmosphere. The food is good. Not worth the other vibes and tones, from the owners to the waitresses its a no, no, no. And feels increasingly uncomfortable & hostile or weirdly snarky without cause, causes uncomfortableness. That is not cool. Its been a stopover for us for decades, unfortunately we have to let you go. I read the other reviews whereby others are finding it perfect. “Perfect!” Let them.

For many generations the Syvrud family and their descendants have enjoyed this great place. I’ve got more memories than I can count. From breakfast gatherings to lunches. Our families gathering together in-front of the cafe for the 4th of July parade. My kids always get the bubble gum ice cream after the meal. My aunt Karol is a Mandan resident and she sends us Ohms gift cards every year for our birthdays. I really hope that whoever buys it keeps the tradition going. All the way from Dallas, Texas, Thank you for a lifetime of great service.
