The Low Down Oven & Bar is a great spot on James Island! They always have great deals on different days of the week, including 1/2 off burgers, 1/2 off pizza, and 1/2 off wine. Keep an eye out for their fun events, including trivia nights. I will definitely go back and try more items from their menu, but I highly recommend the BYO pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, any of their burgers, and don’t miss their pasta salad side dish. Great service after you seat yourself. It’s casual inside and also has some outdoor seating that would be great to watch a game at. Highly recommend for a casual bite!

Truly an amazing place to get quality food and service. We are from out of town and our phone was dying they were kind enough to charge it for us. The server alexis was beyond kind and professional. Her being from around our hometown was bonus points. The gentleman working with her was also so nice and very accommodating. We will absolutely come back when we are in town. Highly recommend to everyone and anyone.

Lowdown Oven and Bar was a great place for lunch. The Pimento Cheese appetizer is a lot of food. The Man, Bear, Pig pizza is really good but the combination of meats can be a bit salty. The Ruben was really good as was the pasta salad. Would highly recommend and will return.

Quick and amazing lunch, that didn’t break the bank!! We got the Tuesday special Philly steak sandwich half price and it came with a side.

Great burgers! The lowdown burger is one of my favorites. For a great deal, Thursday’s they offer 1/2 price burgers. Budweiser is always 1.50 … they have a bar that is inside and out. I really enjoy their outside space even though it faces folly road. Your Dogs are aloud to join when dining outside and they have water bowels for your pup.
The bathrooms are clean
I gave 4 stars and not 5 due feeling like more could be done with the inside … however if I had to chose between 1.50 beer or a nicer inside.. I chose the 1.50 Budweiser.

Stopped here for brunch and was very happy with our experience on the whole. The food was great, as well as the service. We had a large group, with people showing up at different times, and our server was very accommodating.

Came in for the half price philly special and I was not disappointed!! only negative that I encountered was due to me thinking it would be a good idea to add bacon to the philly unfortunately the added bacon was basically non-existent (we are talking maybe at most a half of 1 strip cut into 4 or 5 small pieces) not even enough to taste and they hit me with a $2 upcharge for it. I’ll tell you one thing next time I’ll skip tha bacon and just stick to the basics!!
