The steak we received had been trimmed before cooking, removing the fat cap that normally provides much of the flavor. In American steakhouses, that rendered fat and strong sear are a major part of the taste. Here, it was prepared in the German style — leaner, thin-sliced, and cooked more thoroughly than requested. The result wasn’t bad meat, but it lacked the rich, fatty, charred flavor you would expect from a proper American ribeye.
To be fair, there were positives. The steak tartare appetizer was excellent, the bread was very good, and the wine selection was solid. The truffle potatoes were especially a highlight and paired very nicely with the meal.
Overall, this restaurant isn’t terrible — but it is important to set expectations. If you are specifically craving an authentic American steakhouse experience, this probably won’t satisfy you. It’s more of a German interpretation of steak. Go for the appetizers and sides, but not if your goal is a real American-style ribeye.
Our waiter is nice and very well informed. He is really attentive to our order.
This place is excellence for good steak and dinner for two. Good selection of cocktail and wine too!
Payment can be done by card (EC,visa, master, debit card). Table reservation is a must!
Bottom line is, we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of visit! Service was phenominal and so as their dishes. We’ve had spare ribs, rib-eyes and salmon. What we loved the most was salmon, hands down. It’s so tender and basically cooked to perfection. A must try!
