Even with all the controversy over the logo change, I’m really glad they’ve kept everything else the same. The atmosphere still feels familiar and comforting, and I love the fireplace—burning real wood. Love it, love it.
I ordered the grilled catfish and enjoyed it very much. It was well cooked and flavorful. The only downside was my hot tea. I ordered hot tea with lemon, and although it was served with lemon, it tasted more like coffee-flavored water. When I asked the waiter, he realized he had forgotten to put in the tea bag. He did bring it afterward, but by then it didn’t really matter.

If you’re looking for a Homestyle breakfast lunch or dinner also carry out and Catering needs I encourage you to check out the Cracker Barrel locations check out the store in the front whether it’s before or after you dine, Or if you’d just preferred a quick shopping experience with the displays that are perfectly curated for Seasons approaching. On this particular time there was no wait time coffee and drinks came to the table within a reasonable time, our service was amazing the Ambiance was a 10 out of 10 on this particular day the fireplace was lit introducing a cozy experience while we enjoyed our meal. If you were in the Fredericksburg Spotsylvania area a Cracker Barrel visit is a must whether it’s on a Sunday morning, weekday,prehaps just getting off the I95 highway, or picking up to-go/catering I do believe you enjoy

I had to get my usual chicken and dumplings. As always, it was phenomenal. My other guest got the chicken fried chicken and it was delicious as well. Our waitress was very friendly and very prompt and we cannot wait to return.

We were in the way back home and stopped here for lunch. Elijah was our server and he was awesome. He really took care of us.
We ordered the chicken pot pie dinner and the steak dinner with Mac & cheese, broccoli and baked potato.
Pot pie was good and I have had a lot in the past. Grew up on them. Steak was tad bit chewy, broccoli was cooked well but baked potato was too salty. Mac and cheese was ok.
Will come back for the service …

After my awful experience at the Cracker Barrel in Clinton, NJ (see my review there), I honestly wasn’t expecting much when we stopped at the Fredericksburg, VA location. But wow! Night and day doesn’t even begin to cover the difference.
First off, our server Saturn was phenomenal. We were a party of six, and she handled it like a pro, friendly, attentive, and lightning fast without missing a beat. She made us feel welcome from the second we sat down, and her service was flawless.
I ordered the exact same meal I had in Clinton just to compare. In Clinton, my pancakes came out with a dirty grill imprint on the bottom and tasted just as bad as they looked. Here? Fluffy, golden, and delicious—exactly how pancakes are supposed to be. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food, so big kudos to the kitchen staff.
And the speed! In Clinton, we waited over 45 minutes for our meals. In Fredericksburg, our food came out hot and fresh in record time.
This location restored my faith in Cracker Barrel. If every store operated and cared for it’s customers like Fredericksburg, there’d be nothing to complain about. Five stars all the way.

Very much improved from our previous visit over a year ago. It went down hill fast. They cut out their best biscuits for some Popeyes biscuits and the service then was downright bad. They took the Grandma out of the kitchen and put in someone that could not cook chicken tenders to save their life or even make a 6 yr old happy. Last nights visit was on point! Biscuits were back to that old fashioned Cracker Barrel standard! The server we had Hayden was extremely courteous and really took care of our family! The food this time around was worth the price. Had some of their new menu items – and we were all well pleased! Glad to see that Cracker Barrel saw the writing on the wall before going belly up. Keep up the great work!!! We will be back! Keep them biscuits coming!!! I so wish they would go back to the original size packs of jam they used to serve. It’s ok if I get diabetes – those were like heaven wrapped in aluminum!!!

I went into your restaurant on Thursday-about 3:00. I was seated at a clean table. A server took my drink order for Winterberry tea. He brought me 2 bc I told him I like to get refills. Then he took my order for the turkey dinner. My server brought me hot biscuits. Shortly after, my full dinner arrived hot and perfect. He made sure I got plenty of turkey gravy for my mashed potatoes, stuffing, and turkey. It was a fabulous meal, served quickly and exactly as I asked!

Outstanding service and the food was delicious..my wife and I just moved to Ruther Glen VA in December from Nevada and we met our daughter here who lives in Fredericksburg…
My wife had the trout, my daughter had the chicken tenders and I had the sheppards pie.
The food arrived in a timely fashion and was very tasty and hot..Jade was our server and she was extremely professional, kind and courteous.
We sat near the fireplace which the we found cozy and warm. What a great place to eat.
I’m a medically retired Marine as a result of combat wounds and I met two other Vietnam veterans there..this is a good place to meet other Veterans.
We will return on tomorrow afternoon…

Our waitress Jessica was wonderful and attentive. Food consistent, and good, although veggies for my taste are overcooked. Meatloaf very tasty. Did prefer your old recipes for cornbread, lass sweet, less cakey. But still OK.
