This place has been open for a while and like it’s name says it features bacon. Many varieties and dishes with bacon as a component. Staff is friendly and efficient, owner is much in evidence. Food is tasty and relatively inexpensive. Good experience all around.

There are also vegeterian options and gluten free for those who wish.

Not a Fan, food was expensive and the salads were small with zero protein…and to add 4 over salty greasy shrimp it cost an additional $6. The server was super nice. Our meal was over $60 for a salad,a stuffed pepper entree and 2 kids single egg and fruit plates. We won’t go back, the website said gluten free options and there were none…they said we can give you a sandwich without the bun. The food did look pretty

Everybody loves bacon. They offer a good mix of breakfast and dinner foods with the common theme of those thin strips of deliciousness. There are 6 flavors of bacon ranging from sweet to spicy even bacon themed desserts. Try not to over indulge, but it’s not easy.

Well worth the wait!
This place always has a crowd, and there is a very good reason why. With beautifully designed artisanal drinks, outstanding appetizers and small plates, mouth-watering entrées, and delightful breakfast options, you just cannot go wrong with the menu. The only problem will be making up your mind! The prices are great, and the staff is friendly, too. The atmosphere is trendy, upscale-casual, and there is no shortage of amazing smells as soon as the door opens. This is a cozy place to take a date, and an impressive venue for a large group meeting. Overall, you just have to try it… and then again and again.

Food is great. The bacon jam is awesome. However, coffee is not very impressive. Maybe I should order cocktails next time. They provide some fancy cocktails.

Bakn is an small restaurant in Carnegie that winds up having a big taste.

Obviously, for a restaurant named bakn, the featured ingredient is…bacon! There are breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, including waffles, burgers, salads, and appetizers. There is an extensive bar, and some of the alcohols are bacon infused.

The venue is small but comfortable. Minimalist design is the order of the day here, but that’s not a detriment. There is both bar and table seating. On our recent visit, we didn’t wait at all, but I have driven by and seen lines with standing room only.

Both the wife and I tried the standard bakn burger when we were there. The burgers are cooked to order, and mine came out a perfect medium as requested. I really liked the addition of arugula rather than standard leaf lettuce. The burger was very tasty and large enough that I wasn’t tempted by dessert. I was slightly surprised, though, at only two strips of bacon. For a place named bakn, I’d have thought there’d be more. To be fair, though, these were actual strips of bacon..not the tiny pieces you would get at a fast food joint.

The included fries were tasty,, but nothing to write home about (IMO, they were screaming for some parmesan cheese..but I digress). My wife enjoyed the cole slaw she chose, stating it was very good and she would definitely order it again.

I would definitely recommend giving Bakn a shot. We plan to return to try some of the other menu items!

Everything was great! Good food nice atmosphere. Our server was very nice and attentive.
They could use a bit more lemon juice on the dressed greens though.

I have been hearing such good things about this place and I finally got to see what all the hype was about. Wow. For once, the hype was right! A great atmosphere, amazingly unique food! Our service was fast and friendly. The price wasn’t outrageous, but the food sure was! Highly, highly recommend for a nice Sunday breakfast/brunch, which is when I was there. On street parking is limited.

Loved it for sure! Definitely “trendy” but also had roots obvious of old Carnegie. Amazing food and even better staff! Definitely worth a swing thru on you way into or out of Pittsburgh. Oh, and great beers and specialty drinks!!!

Excellent breakfast food. My wife and I went here with her friends a few weeks ago and the food was amazing. I got the Bakn omelette and it was great. The egg was nice and fluffy, not heavy. My wife loved her plate, and the potatoes were very very good! It is a little tight cornered with seating, but nothing they can do their because too many people want to be here to eat! We will be back!
