I had an early lunch here on a Monday and it was busy, but still had a choice in seating. I love the decorations, it really fit the vibe that they were going for. I had to get some tacos and they had a special for two tacos, with rice and beans. I ordered an al pastor and chorizo taco. The tacos are not, tiny! They are normal size tacos, so don’t let the name fool you. I originally thought they were going to be small or tiny tacos. But they were normal size and they tasted great. It was a good value for the plate, compared to other Mexico joints around the loop area. I also had an agua de jamaica to wash everything down. If you find yourself near Millennium Park, make your way to this hidden gem!

Really the cheap go to Mexican Restaurant in the neighborhood. Food is OK…but sometimes they get it totally wrong. So, I ordered fish, shrimp, and al pastor tacos. They got me three tacos and two were definitely NOT fish or shrimp. They said they were sorry about the mistake and then did nothing about it! Atmosphere is certainly lacking…this is a cheap place to get a quick lunch in the afternoon…not really a dinner or date spot. Prices are cheap for the neighborhood, and they serve free chips and salsa. Overall, there is not much of a crowd for lunch or dinner …and it’s probably because of the food quality and atmosphere.

This place is great! It’s in a corner/kinda hidden. The service was amazing. Very attentive and the food was so good. Definitely recommend. We had their mango margaritas, breakfast skillet and the poblano dip which was also really good. The quesabirrias are a must! FYI There’s some outdoor sitting but not much.

Celebrated my birthday here and everything was on point. The service was great, the food was amazing, and our bartender took excellent care of us. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to every time I’m in Chicago.

This spot is definitely a hidden gem in the Lakeshore East area downtown Chicago. Unless you go into the little section that it’s located at, you will probably never know it’s there, however, it is by other popular restaurants.
Sad to say there are not a lot of authentically good Mexican options in the downtown area of Chicago. There are a couple that are absolutely terrible, but I won’t even go into mentioning them lol so I can honestly say that this spot is a top Mexican restaurant option in the downtown area.
Everything that I had was good from them, starting from the margaritas to the appetizers. The quesadilla that they make comes made with four different cheeses and which ever four they chose are amazing together! Both of the entrées that we had were good. I tried the flautas and my niece had the was quesabirria and outside of the fact that they both had great flavor, there was so much food on the plate. Definitely worth the price!
Gotta say that this place surprise me and they definitely have a repeat customer.

Really great locally and independently owned taco restaurant in a bustling and highly populated area just north of Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. We loved our tacos! They were fantastic! The service was quick and the wait staff were friendly and welcoming. $3 tacos on Taco Tuesday is the most fantastic deal in the entire downtown Chicago! See my photos for the extensive selection of their many types of tacos. There were three of us and we got six different tacos. Each one was excellent!

This is one of my favorite places to grab a quick meal – the food is consistently good and the staff are very kind. I also really like that it’s never crowded since it’s kind of hidden away. I come here at least once per week to enjoy a quiet and relaxing meal away from work. Highly recommended!
