We are there twice! Pricey but excellent quality. The first night I have the filet, green beans and red smashed potatoes. Every bite was a treat. The lemon blueberry cheesecake was delicious. My Paper plane was a finely crafted cocktail and the house cabernet was nice. The second night was also tasty My husband loved how tender the tuna appetizer was but – the soy and old bay were not to my taste. I prefer to let the tuna flavors be the spotlight. The steak sandwich was huge and tasty We had the delicious cheesecake again. I recommend this restaurant. Reservations required, even for the bar which is where we sat and enjoyed that very much.

This is my first time going to Mr. P’s. I’ve been to a bunch of places in the area and every one of them has been very good. Mr. peas had the single highest rating and a lot of reviews so I thought I would give it a try. They had pictures of scallops that looked absolutely incredible and that’s really what hooked me.

I pulled up right in front and parked right on the curb. The perfect parallel park after not doing one for years. I went in only to find out that it was going to be an hour and 15 minutes to get a table. I didn’t think ahead to call for a reservation and didn’t know that it was just that in demand.

After seeing the pictures of the scallops, and the fact that I had done the perfect parallel park, I decided that I would be patient and wait for a table and spend a little time walking around.

True to their word, they got me in just before 8 o’clock, just ahead of my expectation. I couldn’t believe how busy it was in there. Every seat at every table was taken, and even every chair at the bar was full.

I got some oysters for an appetizer. I think that they were called Carolina Gold. They were sweet and delicious. After seeing the picture of the scallops, I decided that that would be my entrée. The server recommended getting them blackened which I did. I wasn’t disappointed, the flavor was absolutely excellent. They were cooked to perfection. Just the tiniest bit translucent on the inside. They were incredibly sweet and the seasoning was awesome on them.

I got the roasted potatoes and fried green tomatoes as my sides. The potatoes were delicious and the coating on the tomatoes was cooked perfectly, it stayed crunchy and hung on tight to the tomatoes.

I had a piece of lemon blueberry cheesecake for dessert and it was just as good as everything else that I ate.

It’s easy to see that this place is a special spot in the community. There is lots of people in there, sharing birthdays and anniversaries.

I’m glad I waited and gave it a try. It really was excellent and I would absolutely do it again. I’m very excited to bring my wife back.

We came here for a Saturday evening for dinner. Luckily we were seated right away, but this place can get busy, even during off season. We got the appetizer and entrée. The scallops were huge and delicious. Their drink menu was very good as well. I would definitely recommend this place.

Rebecca was our server and she was fantastic. The prime rib, oysters 3×3, wine and salad were all scrumptious. The only downside was the noise level in our space (we were in room without bar) was so high it hurt our ears. Mind you the ‘noise
makers’ were having a great time, but really dampened our enjoyment couldn’t indicate 4.5 stars on review.

We have been here three times and each time is better than the last. The food is absolutely amazing and service is excellent. My husband had the soft-shelled crab and I had blackened stuffed grouper, which was melt-in-your-mouth good. We had Kahlua pecan pie a la mode for dessert – pie made in house. Cocktails are great too. How good the food is in this restaurant cannot be overstated. If you have not been here, you are missing out.

Was in town for work, and this was highly recommended from a local coworker. We timed it just right, came in on a Tuesday night around 7:30, and we had to wait about 5 minutes. Daily specials sounded great, but I’m a sucker for crab cakes, so I had to get them, and was not disappointed. My wife got the surf and turf with the crab stuffed lobster tail. Staff from the door, to the bar to the waitstaff were all fantastic.

This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Our server, Trinity, was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and made good recommendations for appetizers through dessert. The fried green tomatoes were the perfect crispness and the remoulade was distinctive. The Underground Tuna was prepared perfectly and melted in our mouth. Flavors were balanced and preparation was spot on. We were simply blown away! We will definitely be back.
