Caffeine Corner – Berlin Farmers Market
This spot is special. Caffeine Corner isn’t just a coffee stand, it’s a 20-years-later “look at us now” moment.
My son and Blaze the owner played against each other in Little League football back in the day.
Now they’re grown, and I’m standing at his shop watching a Black-owned business thriving in the middle of the market. ⚾️☕️
I ordered the banana cream drink and it tasted like banana pudding in a cup – creamy, smooth, not too sweet. I almost turned around and ordered a second one.
The menu is stacked:
build-your-own lattes with different milks + flavors ☕️
frappes and specialty drinks
breakfast sandwiches and bagels people online keep raving about
You can tell they’re popular for a reason. Drinks are made with care, not rush.
Vibe & service:
The energy here is pure “we’re glad you’re here.” Blaze and the team greet you like family, crack jokes, and still keep the line moving. You can feel the regulars; people know exactly what they want and the staff knows them by drink. That’s community.
Access:
Located inside the Berlin Farmers Market with a big parking lot out front. Once you’re in the building it’s flat, no steps to get to the counter, and enough space to wait or roll up with a stroller or mobility aid.
As a Philly/Jersey nurse, farmer, and small-business supporter, it matters to me to see Black-owned businesses not just open, but thriving. There still aren’t nearly enough of them, so when I see one doing it well, I’m going to talk about it. Loudly.
Overall:
If you’re at the market and thinking about grabbing coffee from a chain later — don’t.
Come here first. Get the banana cream (thank me later), try a custom latte, and enjoy the feeling of supporting a local business that actually pours back into the community.

Note to Blaze (because this part is personal):
Blaze, if you ever read this: seeing you behind that counter, 20+ years after those Little League days, made my whole day. Who knew the kids on those rival teams would grow up and I’d be standing at your coffee bar, hyping up your business on Google?
I’m proud of you, proud of what you’re building, — proof that with work, community, and faith, you can and will do what you set your mind to.
Keep going.
We’ll be back for more banana cream. ☕️
