Open since April of 2001, LuLu is an eclectic cafe and bar located in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee. Offering a variety of unique hot sandwiches, salads, and soup, this turn-of-the-century building is a fun and funky spot for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. Chalkboard menus announce the specials of the week. The main menu offers meat-based and vegetarian sandwiches and salads with vegan options available. Weekly specials add variety to the mix. I went to LuLu Cafe with my mom and our waiter, Joel, was outstanding! He was very friendly, accommodating, and provided exceptional customer service.
For lunch we shared the homemade chips with blue cheese dip (our favorite!) and we split the Roasted Vegetable Salad with chicken.
We love coming to Lulu Cafe and we’ve been coming here for years. The food is always amazing and the service is impeccable. They also have a nice bar and a large dining space. We enjoy sitting at a table by the outside window, when it’s available.

Excellent food and huge portions! Pear & Champagne Salad was great, as is the slaw. Cheddar Melt was delish (didn’t need the bacon, which could be optional), and the Chips are unique. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options.

Cafe Lulu never disappoints. Service from Joel great. Both sandwiches excellent, Moroccan chicken very juicy. My companion loved her flank steak banh mi. I always get the terrific Asian slaw which is bountiful and so welcome an alternative to fries. This batched needed a hint more vinegar. Reasonably priced wine list. Pies are made in house. Took a piece of rhubarb home, delightful. Cozy atmosphere.

How did I not know about this place?! Highly recommend LuLu for lunch or brunch. Big portions for a fair price. Though it’s not on the menu, I recommend getting the garden infused bloody mary (comes with a chaser)! The Florentine Melt was delicious. If you get the chips, make sure you get the blue cheese dip. Next time I will probably just stick with the Asian slaw side because it was so great!

The entire cafe has this relaxed, laid-back vibe. They make homemade chips, and they have fantastic Asian slaw, which is fresh, crispy, and crunchy. You’ll be glad you tried it. I ordered the hamburger, and it was just what I needed. Our waiter was friendly and fast with the refills. What more can you ask for? Yeah, it’s a place you must try if you live in the area, and if you are from out of town, stop by and see one of our best cafes. You won’t be disappointed

My mom was here visiting for her birthday and our server (I really wish I could remember his name now) went above and beyond making it special for her. This was my first visit to Lulu Café. It is absolutely charming and our server was so attentive, despite the lunch rush.
You must try the famous Lulu chips with the blue cheese dip. They are perfectly fried and salted. I had the Florentine melt. It was delicious. I would definitely order that again.

I just happened to fly into Milwaukee airport and asked a lady to take my picture with the sign. She is a local and recommended this place to me. Boy, am I glad she did because the food was delicious.
I was happy to see so gluten-free options here, too.
I ended up getting the salmon steak that was very thick and juicy on an eddy bun.
The Coleslaw was more like Coleslaw on steroids. It was more like a oriental with lots of half peanuts.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Service here is great, as well as the atmosphere. Prices are decent, you do get a large serving of food. Not busy during a weekday around 3. Very nice laid back and relax atmosphere at that time
