To provide a smoother customer experience, this bar should update the sign outside of its establishment, as the hand drawn sign proclaiming staff parking looks like graffiti and resulted in my car getting towed when I thought I was parking in a designated customer spot. The tow company this bar uses also rips people off, and stated that my car had been abandoned for more than three hours when I was only away from my car for two and charged me a two day storage fee even though I couldn’t pick my car up until the next morning during business hours. This company also didn’t explain their cash only business model over the phone when I called to pick it up the next morning, causing me to have to bike to two separate ATM locations to get enough cash to pay their extortionist fees and get my car back. I would say to make sure you find street parking but maybe also just skip this bar and go to all of the other good locations in Lansing instead.

The REO town pub is the best bar in Lansing—scratch that—the world. Don’t believe me? I’m sorry, you know a different bar that has hand carved wooden spoons for sale in the back of house? How about steak night on Wednesdays? What about the drink-it-forward board? Grow up. Grow up and order a hotdog, to go with your complimentary popcorn. I didn’t even mention the bartenders? Grow up. Five stars.

A nice little pub with an amazing selection of beverages on tap, even in cans/bottles. The tables might be a bit wobbly but a comfortable casual drinking and conversation pit I will enjoy visiting in the future. Thanks to Kathy for a wonderful first time introduction.

First time in the pub and Mary and Marcus treated me like a regular! When they found out it was my 1st time in Lansing they provided me with many insights into the city and even mapped out an itinerary for me. The beer and bourbon selections are great, the food from the BBQ place next door was excellent (they even brought it to me in the bar when it was ready!), and the conversation was the best part of my visit. They even treated my Scottie (Cash) like one of the family. This place is a gem!!

So glad to have dinner and good company this Wednesday evening (10/13/21) at REO TownPub. Nice decent fall weather, a nicely cooked, well-seasoned NY strip, complete with baked potato slathered in butter and crisp & sweet Caesar salad, and plenty of cold water to wash it all down.
