I went here with my children and while standing inline I over heard a couple talking about how they believe they got over charged and how they will look at there bank app. As I waited I noticed that they were giving no one a receipt. When it was my turn up I confirmed with the older lady behind the counter who seemed nice and informative about prices and ice cream. After confirming that 2 scoops and and cone was $4.75 I proceeded to submit my order for that exact item. When I pulled out my credit card to pay her whole act changed stating that she couldn’t take a credit card. After I told her that’s all I had she seemed frustrated and told me it was now going to be 5 dollars. She took my card and came back right away and gave it back. I asked for a receipt and she told me that there was no receipt. And that she didn’t know how to help me and pointed me to the kid on the register. I asked him for the receipt for 5 dollars and he informed me that the lady told him to charge me $10 dollars. Then an older bald man came to see what the problem was I told him and he just pointed me back to the woman and told me that if she said it was $10 it was $10, And sent me a digital receipt. I informed the older lady and asked her what happened and she told me straight up “ yes I told you $5 and told the cashier to charge you $10, that’s my mistake” she then just gave me another ice cream. I don’t think this was a mistake I think that with long lines people just don’t pay attention and I’m sure they do this all the time. PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS when purchasing food at Judds BBQ. Good thing I over heard that couple talking about getting overcharged.
