This was my first time to Cracker barrel in 7 years and I will never return. Absolute dump. I arrived at 7:15, just after they opened. There was only one other customer at the time, but by the time the food arrived I was completely surrounded by coughing. I nearly moved myself to one of the empty dining rooms just to not be crammed in with sick people. The decor looks exactly like what you see at any cracker barrel, but the place is noticeably run down. The antique clutter will hide that sort of thing for a while, but this location is well past that point. My server was Donna. She was friendly and kept the coffee coming, but I can’t give her higher than 3 stars because she brought me a plate with very badly burned eggs. She should have never let them make it to the table, and what cook burned scrambled eggs and then put them on the plate instead of cooking new ones? If you can’t scramble an egg you need a new career path. I’m pretty sure the chicken fried steak was microwaved from the day before and the gravy had that thick look that cold gravy had. No way this food was fresh, except for the dark toasted eggs.

Talk about a horrible experience at supper tonight. We went to dinner tonight with my parents. We went to Cracker Barrel. The waiter was attentive right when we got there. Quickly came and got our drink order and brought them out. After that it was downhill. We ordered our food. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive at the table. When it did arrive, my dad’s meal was wrong and my entire meal was wrong. The guy gave me hashbrowns as I ordered fried apples and my over easy eggs were solid, everything was cold, the gravy was a solid grey clump. I asked for new eggs as I could literally hold them in the air and the waiter got all snotty with me. I told him the meal was wrong and I would like a new meal made that I ordered. He took the meal back at 6:36pm and brought the exact same meal back at 6:47pm just with new eggs. So my already cold meal sat in the back for another 10 minutes and was brought back to me… still incorrrect mind you. The waiter had an attitude so we asked for the manager on duty and she blamed me for not ordering correctly and said that our story was not what the waiter said. We told her to just take my meal off the bill and that we were done. She then proceeded to go to the back and start laughing with the waiter that we were having issues left. She did not take any of it serious at all. My husband and I just started to go back to Cracker Barrel after not eating there for over 5 years but sadly we are now taking this location off of our places to eat. Restaurants are too expensive to go to just to be given cold and wrong food and to have a horrible experience on top of it.

Well the food wasn’t hot. Corn was cold. Fly on my nerves that landed on my food. The cheese curds were not hot at all. My waitress gave the bill and never came back as I was still eating. I was killing time enjoying sweet tea when I finished eating. The look on her face every time I asked for something made me feel a certain way. I wanted more tea. When I went to check out and the cashier a young African girl was cashing out a man who paid his bill in cash and left the change to the waitress, after she asked him if he’s leaving a tip. He said I guess i think it’s $5.00 can go to tip after she asked him if he was leaving a tip to waitress/waiter. The cashier said after he leaves, walks away and I’m standing there that’s $3.00 and change. I chimed in and said better than nothing!!! She than took a phone call making me wait instead of telling a person on the phone to please hold, she took the call making me wait to pay for my food and items I purchased. So Finally I get rang up and I said I better leave a tip before you get mad!!! I’m sorry but that was very unprofessional to her to say that about how much he left for tip. A tip is not guaranteed, it’s not a have to or a must, a tip is optional. My waitress wasn’t great but left a tip anyway. Talk to your cashier Cracker Barrel. Re-train in better customer service. Smile and be kind Hod is watching. God Bless
Plenty of parking
Restroom needs attention
Food would be great if it was hot.

Potato white gravy was very gritty like there was sand in it. The Nashville hot chicken was also gritty and only edible when I removed the coating. The fried okra was good. The cornbread did not have much flavor. Did not try the biscuits. The service was horribly slow, couldn’t count on refills. Cannot recommend the restaurant.
The store part was fun and great. Would revisit the store, just not the disappointing restaurant.

I love cracker barrel so much, more specifically their carrots and truthfully, they know me because of my every single day order of carrots. Not only is the food really good, but the staff is amazing. I often times will be greeted by my name as soon as I walk in and a couple staff even give me a warm hug that I could use all the time. With my daughter being terminally ill, this is my comfort food and to be honest, an easy way for me to eat because I often times don’t have time to cook. So to each and every single worker that works at the cracker barrel in Sioux falls, South Dakota, THANK YOU! I will forever be a big fan and supporter of your company. Pic of my sweet girl shared because she’s the other side that keeps me smiling along with the workers here.

me and a couple of friends chose to go out to eat for dinner here for a celebration, and immediately got greeted with disgust at the host stand. a pale younger looking girl with long black hair came up to the host stand after waiting for a few minutes for someone to show up. she was very confusing to listen to, she was very rude, and she slammed the menus down on the table and stormed off when we finally got to the far dining area. then, we were greeted by our server, chris, who was very slow at getting us our drinks. when he came over to the table we all immediately felt really uncomfortable with the way he was speaking to us. he kept commenting on my body, commenting on my friends appearances and making very weird statements. he was very disrespectful and unthoughtful of others’ feelings and thoughts. even though we were clearly not into being treated that way, he still continued to flirt with me and touched my arm. later he brings the food and he makes MORE comments about me and my body. i felt sick, i barely ate the chicken fried chicken i ordered and grabbed the ticket immediately to pay, and when i did he wrote his number on it! we immediately got up and paid for our meals, we hated our experience here.

We came here for breakfast and the service we received was very good. The hostess greeted us surg a smile and was very friendly. The same could be said for our waitress. She was prompt with our drink orders and our food came much faster then we expected. She also checked in with us often, and never let my husband’s coffee cup get empty. The food was great. Can’t go wrong with their French toast and scrambled eggs.

We came in on a cold night looking for some comfort food and as usual Cracker Barrell didn’t disappoint

Casey, our server, was polite and friendly and the right amount of attentive and passive to get us what we needed and checked in on us enough to know he was there, but not hovering, which is impressive in hospitality as there are usually only two types of servers eager and elusive.

He was a wonderful reprieve from your normal server. Great job young man

The food was very good!

My wife had the chicken n dumplings with green beans and carrots and had plenty to take home for lunch the next day!

I tried the chicken breast and ny strip steak with mashed potatoes and country gravy and a side of carrots

The gravy had a bit of Smokey flavor to it, which was an interesting addition, the carrots were perfectly cooked with an essence of sweet honey.

The sides were a bit cold (but it was 2 above zero this day) but tasted great

The only thing I would have liked was the biscuits before the enteees, but all in all it was a great visit with good food and great service

I love eating at Cracker Barrel whether it be for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food choices are great and I have some favorites especially for breakfast. I also like that they add new items to their menu but maintain some really good favorites. The service is always great! It’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants!

We had an early “Galentine’s Day” lunch. Most of us hadn’t been to Cracker Barrel for a while. We’ll be back more often now, because all 6 of us enjoyed the food we ordered. Such a variety of options on the menu. The service was very good. And it’s always fun to see what’s in the store section, too!
