Food is always hot and fresh! Smokey Bones is my go-to spot for a healthy and delicious meal that stays within my calorie budget. My favorite waitress is Sarae … she’s an absolute pro! She’s always attentive to my table and knows exactly what I’m thinking before I even order. I really appreciate her attention to detail in making sure my order is spot on. Love this spot as my late night dinner date. Atmosphere is never too crowded but the game is always on and light music playing.

I haven’t been to Smokey Bones in a while, but I visited for lunch recently and was pleasantly surprised. They had some well-priced meals that tasted great, and the portion size was larger than I expected. I have spoken to several people that have recently enjoyed their experience here. Not sure what changed… but it’s a good change!

This was my first time visiting Smokin Bones, and it was a great experience. The delicious smoky aroma hit me as soon as I walked in. Sarae greeted us right away and was helpful in answering all our questions. Before long, the hot food started arriving at our table. Be sure to order the BBQ Crowd Pleaser. It’s a meal and ooh it’s good. The smoked wings are good, BUT I liked the fried wings way better because of the crunch. The Strawberry Dream drink was ok. If I ordered it again, I’d need an extra added.
The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and I’ll definitely return whenever I’m in Lansing.

Pretty good food! I highly recommend the pulled pork and smoked sausage! The ribs and burgers are also very good. They have 4 or 5 different BBQ sauces to please different palates.

This meal package did not disappoint!
We purchased food from the catering menu at the E.Lansing, MI for a family dinner of approximately 30 people. We ordered the Rib and Wings package with roasted corn, steamed brocoli and garlic bread. The meats and sides were absolutely delicious! The sauces on both were just the right taste of tangy and sweet! Everything was neatly packaged and fit perfectly in the chafer stands. Plasticware packets were also included. For the ribs, I strongly suggest you upgrade to the babybacks for a small additional charge, but well worth it for meatier ribs. We will definitely order this package again!

We came in Thursday night to watch the start of march madness, Sarae was our server and we didn’t want for anything! She was on top of it and asked all the right questions. Our food came out fast and well plated. She let us know about the specials and was warm and friendly. It can be challenging going out to eat with kids but it was well received. Thanks for a great meal all around!!

I had an awesome waitress named Sarae. She suggested a drink and I’m glad I took her advice. Wonderful decision. I ordered the ribs and she made sure there was ample sauce before she brought it to my table. Which I really appreciated. She has a awesome personality and very informative.Very happy with the service and will definitely be returning.

My hubby and I went to Smoky Bones for valentine’s day. I LOVE this place but this visit was a disaster. My hubby ordered a beer.. I ordered a strawberry margarita. He got his beer immediately as beer isn’t needed to be mixed or built. Beer is quick. We both ordered the full set of BBQ full rack of ribs. Normally they are delicious. I don’t know what happened or if the animal was anorexic because out of the full rack, only 3 ribs actually had meat on it. I thought it was just my ribs but I asked my hubby if his rack had meat and he told me that only a couple of his ribs had meat. The other’s really had nothing on them. After 10 minutes we got our food, but I STILL didn’t get my drink. I looked over to the bar and no one was there. Finally a guy went behind the bar but was chatting with customers and still NO ONE had made my drink. Idk what the policy is for when u order a drink and how the order gets to the bar. STILL nothing.. nothing one made the drink. I have ALWAYS gotten my drink before my food but didn’t.. and the restaurant was NOT busy at all. Maybe 3 sets of parties that only had a couple people in the group so being slammed wasn’t a reason. I had asked for a manager and really got kind of blown off.. like he didn’t see a problem with my food coming first and still waiting for a yahoo non existent bar tender. This was beyond very disappointing. It’s not the servers fault. She did fine but after my obvious disappointment of still not getting a drink, she had an attitude. It made us feel awkward. I told the manager that I no longer wanted to have the drink as it was slammed together and the balance was not correct. It tasted super over alcohol and threw off the flavor. I don’t expect that anything will happen with this review. The manager didn’t care. Then the server had to adjust our bill. She came over and said, “sorry for the wait. I had to take your drink off” and it had a bunch of attitude with that. Like I said, nothing will happen to this review. If the other managers have the same “idgaf” attitude when u point out an issue then nothing will change. I love this restaurant but that was horrible. If we go back, my hubby isn’t ordering the ribs as they had no meat. Idk what happened to the restaurant but I would like to thank them for ruining my valentines day and our wedding anniversary as we were married around valentines. So very disappointing.
