The best Mexican food I’ve found in Hattiesburg. Hell, best I’ve had since Arizona. I travel a lot and am normally disappointed in the average to below average Mexican food available. I took one bite of the Birria tacos and stopped to take a picture. Never dipped a taco in broth before. Damn good.

This is not my first trip to Compardres & it will not be my last. The reason for only 4 stars is strictly due to pricing as they are noticeably more expensive than most of their competition, so we only stop in for a snack as opposed to being regulars. The quality of the food is always good as is the service. Their Mexican Tacos are the reason I stop in there and tge fact that they have a Hot Sauce that is actually Hot, and the latter is the biggest reason that I will continue to stop in at Compardres, as most places Hot Sauce isn’t even warm. So I would suggest that if you like to season your food with a really good flavored, truly Hot, Hot Sauce, then swing by Compardres.

I give this place two stars because if you’ve had REAL Mexican food you’d know I’m right. The carne asada tacos were dry and the torta is not a real torta. I guess it’s the best place in town to those who live here, but when you go out get yourself some Delicious and Real Mexican food!

This little mom & pop restaurant is a gem. The food is awesome and the service fantastic! Your money will go a loooooong way here. Every time I’m in Hattiesburg my wife and kids insist on eating there and it doesn’t hurt my feelings a bit. Best authentic tacos I’ve had in years!

I think this place is a hidden jem to Hattiesburg! The food is amazing,more than you can finish thats for sure! If you get the chance stop by here and eat!!! The atmosphere here is quite and laid back. Service is quick, and so friendly!!! Also very quick!!!

Best street tacos in town! Chips and salsa are good, servers are extremely friendly, and food was prepared quickly. You owe it to yourself to stop by.

What a pleasant surprise! The food was hot and delicious! Great portions for the price! The restrooms were very clean. I highly recommend this place, and look forward to my next visit! The service was good. Our waitress was pleasant. Just maybe not as engaging as I prefer. Overall I highly recommend Compadres and look forward to my next visit.
