Harry’s Bishops Corner Pizza Napoletana is easily one of the best pizza spots in the area. The Neapolitan-style crust is perfectly done—light, airy, and slightly charred, with just the right amount of chew. You can immediately tell that the ingredients are fresh and high quality, especially the tomato sauce and mozzarella, which balance really well without being overly heavy.
The overall flavor and texture of the pizza feel authentic, and every bite is satisfying without feeling greasy. It’s the kind of pizza you can enjoy down to the last slice. The portions are great, and the menu has solid options whether you want to keep it classic or try something a bit different.
On top of that, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family, or even a quick takeout stop. If you’re in the Bishops Corner area and craving real Neapolitan-style pizza, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

I’ve always loved the pizza here and at the Glastonbury location, but this experience was a massive letdown. The pizza was completely burned, not just charred. When the staff showed it to me, the lighting made it hard to tell, but once I got it home, it was clear this never should have been put in a box. There’s a fine line between ‘char’ and ‘burnt,’ and this was definitely the latter.

Ordered take out expecting the thin crunchy crust and crushed tomatoes. I got an average “cheese pizza” that’s not crunchy and nothing special with thicker crust. I was so surprised by it that I googled when did Harry’s Bishop Corner change its pizza? It says new owners in 2023, not sure if it’s them but they are not serving Harry’s thin crust napoletona pizza that I’ve had for last 28 yrs. Disappointing to say the least & will not be returning ☹️

We just moved to CT and have been on the hunt for good gluten free pizza. This was one of the best gluten-free pizzas we’ve ever had!! And we loved that there was also an option for dairy free. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet but not in like an “is this place open” kind of way — just not overcrowded and chaotic like some chain restaurants can get. The staff were all friendly and our server was great. We will definitely be back again!

This must be the best pizza I’ve had in a long time! We ordered the Meat Lover’s and it was so good, made with fresh ingredients—Domino’s or Pizza Hut could never outdo this independently owned and operated haven for all Italian food inspired. The service was spectacular and we were treated so nicely by the young ladies who worked there. Ok, so the pizza was slightly burnt on one half, but not enough to not enjoy it—in fact, my friend and I liked it that way! The crust was delicious. I’ll be back!

The pizza was okay – pie was thick and the cheese was dense and greasy. Too much of a dry herb can make a pie taste kind of cheap. The sauce tasted good and I really liked the garlic, which came standard on the cheese pizza.

There seemed to be lots of confusion at the take out counter – service was not running smoothly considering how few customers were in the shop.

The dining room was pretty cool; a very cool spot to hang out and eat pizza. Would go again for the atmosphere, but would not take out again.

Harry’s is an institution in West Hartford.

Our group went for some pizza and tried 2 pies. A cheese pizza which was great and a veggie pie (with mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes and jalapeños.) also good.

We also got a an eggplant parmigiana Grinder Which was served with some potato chips. It was excellent!

This is one of the better pizzerias in the Hartford area. Good to see they are still going strong after all these years. Will definitely be back!

This is a oh yeah, you said the

Harry’s BC has been a West Hartford staple for years. Literally one of the only places you could get a consistently good pizza that is more than just dough and cheese. I have loved Harry’s so much that friends and family from out of state raved about how good the pizza is. Unfortunately, if Harry’s puts out the service and the food I received tonight they are not going to last long.

Since going to Harry’s for nearly a decade now I am pretty familiar with the menu and what I want to eat. Typically, when I come in I will tell the waiter everything that I want and they will put in an app and pizza with enough room in between that I don’t feel rushed. Today I received the appetizer of garlic bread and pizza (which both were sub par) with approximately 30 seconds in between. Not much of an appetizer at that point.

Regardless, when trying the garlic bread it was extremely doughy and inconsistent. It is said that it is focaccia but as you can see in the pictures it looks like two different breads where uses both being bad.

The pizza came out 30 seconds later and immediately I knew it was not it. Covered in oil, not as thin and crispy as typical, the sauce not having nearly as many tomato chunks as before (it’s makes a difference). , I still decided to try it. A mistake. The cheese is disgusting tastes like a cheese blend you can get from you local grocery store. I ate two slices and felt nauseous. The piping hot, soggy, greasy, cheesy mess is not the pizza that West Hartford and neighbors have come to know and love. I hope they get this fixed if not it’s will be Harry’s demise.

After have horrible food I thought maybe the service would be consistent like always but again it was not. I don’t even know what my servers name was because it was not given. Other than taking our order she was MIA. She would run around but it seems like no one was able to get her attention because my table had to almost cut her off after 10 minutes of trying to make eye contact and be polite just to get a glass of water. 15 minutes after we finished eating and countless times trying to catch her attention. We finally had enough and asked a different waitress for the check. Not once were we asked for napkins (which we were not given) or cheese (also not given). Not only did we have bad service but it seemed other tables were as well as one guest went to the pickup area to pay his bill that was never given to him.

I have heard and met the new owners of Harry’s BC, as nice as he is, kindness will only get you so far. Especially at a restaurant. The reputation that precedes the new owners is one I hope is not lost but I fear is already gone on my eyes.

I had dinner alone tonight which is a treat at times. I was warmly greeted and shown to a table as soon as I entered the restaurant. My drink order came quickly and she returned for my order as I was not ready to order at first. The waitress was attentive and my tip reflected that. I ordered the ceasur salad, garlic bread, and a large pizza with broccoli and riccotta cheese.. the salad came first and the garlic bread arrived after I had eaten my salad…. I wanted it together, but the salad was delicious, the garlic bread was not what I was expecting, but it was tasty, the Large pizza was huge, great for left overs, the crust was tender and chewy… great combination! The pizza was tasty and even better as a late night snack at home…delicious.

I will be back. Thank you for a lovely dinner.
