Lovely little place for casual, authentic Asian dining. Small curated menu with what I recognize as mostly Chinese dishes like Lurou fan and Dan Dan noodles with some Japanese items like ramen and curry.
It took me less than 5 minutes to order & sit. Service was warm & informative. Pictured is an Oatmilk latte with black sesame flavor, a steamed pork bun, and pork & chive dumplings.
As someone who was brought up on Flushing, Queens fare as early as 2 years old, I find this to be an incredible gem available to upstate New Yorkers. Do stop in!

Stars were the Miso Ramen (I got tofu on top) and the Black Sesame Latte . Pork and Chive dumplings also delish. I’m down with the casual vibes, just wish there was non-plastic dine-in utensils for hot soup. Kid friendly as long as they can sit at a high top – I assisted my 2 year old and he was fine.

Ordered a steamed char siu (pork) bao and a black sesame taro milk latte and both were delicious! I just moved back to the Hudson Valley after almost 15 years in Chicagoland where I spent a good portion of that around Chinatown and frequenting all the amazing specialty cafes Chicago has to offer, and Lucky Catskills is on par with that. Awesome to have another Asian-inspired option in the area!

Lucky Catskills is a 10/10 must visit for the Kingston area. The menu had a great mix of staples as well as delicious-sounding specials (it was extremely hard to choose because it all sounded so good). I’m not understanding the reviews complaining about small portion sizes, as everything we received was very generously portioned and filling. The pork and chive dumplings were some of the most flavorful dumplings I’ve ever had. Amazing coffee drinks to boot. Can’t wait to return

Sooooooo yummy. Chill vibe. I’ve only had soup dumplings, dumplings, and miso ramen, but I’ll def be trying more in the future 😉 glad this place is here. Kinda pricey but that’s totally ok cuz it’s delish.

The place was absolutely buzzing with activity. It’s always exciting when a new hip spot opens. I had the miso ramen. The bowl was a little smaller than I thought it might be but it was very filling and also less expensive than miso ramen at other places in town. It’s a great addition to the neighborhood.

This place is fantastic! I stopped in after bro’ing out one morning for some breakfast sandwiches, and was wonderfully surprised to see my friend Sierra behind the bar. She’s so great. So is the food. I got one of each breakfast sandwich and a fun coffee drink. I went back the next day for the ramen and that was also wonderful. The cook is super nice too. Everyone working there is. I can’t wait to go back! Ambiance! That 2 star review is some ridiculous and crybaby nonsense. Dummy.

We came for lunch and ordered the Dan Dan noodles and miso ramen. It was so incredible we came back the next day to scope out the breakfast menu which also far surpassed already high expectations. A new staple spot for us. So pumped to have them here in Kingston!

What a wonderful addition to uptown! My husband went for breakfast and same day told me we absolutely had to go back for lunch. FINALLY a flavorful vegetarian ramen in the area, really delish. Also so few places you can get red bean around here, loved the bun. Lovely staff, great decor. A new go to!

food was great — had cozy / tasty ramen on a rainy night, my only note is that the kitchen/restaurant were playing two different playlists of indie music at the same time at the same volume creating quite a dissonant mash-up to eat to. Friendly request for one or the other, or sound proof the sonic spaces 🙂
