We made reservations online for 6 at 6:30 and they seated us promptly at a table for 10. They were busy and an obviously popular spot so maybe we made a mistake with 5 of us ordering pasta dishes. The noodles in the shrimp scampi and lemon scallop were not good. The shrimp were like bay shrimp out of a can, not fresh jumbo shrimp. No capers or scallions so very little flavor. The scallops were good and again the noodles blah. The Margherita pizza was very good and our grandson said best pizza ever. Our server was very good and the atmosphere nice but couldn’t compensate for the noodles. Maybe we should have ordered more seafood. Our granddaughter had the Haddock chowder with oyster crackers and really liked it. The onion rings appetizer was quite good with a decent amount of serving and I forgot to take a pic until it was almost all eaten. Same with desserts! 3 had the blueberry pie which was excellent, I split a Funky Monkey with my granddaughter, a banana cheesecake with a cookie crust and peanut butter glaze, very fun and tasty – see the empty plate with two spoons pic! Our 13 year old grandson ordered the New York style cheesecake with blueberry compote which he gave only 3 stars and was very disappointed they forgot the whipped cream that was promised on the table card. If that’s the best they can do, I doubt we’ll be back. For the price, not really worth it, sorry!

The staffs were so nice that allowed us to have a pickup order at 7:44pm (they close at 8:00pm.). Not sure if it was normal that they put us as dine in and asked for tips.

Dined in and got the burger and steak. We would say our experience was average in food quality and service. The food came out fast. Good for a quick lunch or dinner option.

We stopped in last Saturday evening and had a great dinner. The sandwiches were cooked to perfection, the french fries were great, and the beer and wine were refreshing. The blueberry pie was delicious. We quite enjoyed our meal. This is a superb local dining place.

Friendly staff, great food! My wife and I stopped in here after visiting Ravens Nest. I got some delicious lobster bisque soup and chicken tenders and my wife ordered a lobster roll. The food came out quick, and We both enjoyed our meals. If we are in this area again, I would highly consider going back here for lunch / dinner.

If you have more than 4 people in your group before the rush keep moving along(4pm). The food was so so. Pizza was doughy and undercooked. The burgers that were ordered well done were medium. The mussels were cold. Onion rings were soggy. Fries were cold. Fryer needed to be hotter. Service was so so. The cook had to bring the food out to tables. (Not sure where the wait staff were) It’s not a big diner. Lobster milk is $29. You will need to add a lot of salt for flavor. The sliced fried mushrooms were good. no toilet paper in the men’s bathroom. I’d skip this restaurant many other are better and I’d been in area 4 day. Want great food and excellent service go to west street cafe in bar harbor

We stumbled into Chase’s after wandering Winter Harbor waiting for our ferry back to Bar Harbor. The staff were extremely friendly and showed us a great drink menu. The food was a little better than average and the prices were reasonable. Nice little diner-style restaurant.

Our first meal arriving in Winter Harbor. It was not our favorite meal of our week long trip. Waiter was very friendly. Wife had the steak and ordered it medium rare and it came out closer to rare than medium. We did return it and it came out better. I had the fish and chips and it was pretty good.

This restaurant has been in business for many years. I have visited many Maine restaurants and this was the most perfectly cooked haddock I’ve found in recent years. I asked for crispy and it was perfect imo. They are NOT stingy with their portions. I also like the options of baked or mashed potato. I’m not always in the mood for fries. My friend had fish and chips and she said it was excellent. The cole slaw was delish as well. My aunt and uncle lived in Winter Harbor for many years and spoke highly of Chase’s. I am looking forward to eating there again soon!
