Went to lunch with mom and my sister the other day. We met at the Scottsville Diner. First impression was that we had just stepped into history. It felt like the diners from my youth. It hadn’t been remodeled in 40 years but that was a good thing because it actually matched the service and the food. Service as is should be and comfort food you don’t see much any more. I hope they stay there forever.

A very quaint, cozy diner found on the Main Street in the Village of Scottsville in rural upstate New York. Street parking is limited. You walk into the diner and sit wherever you’d like. Staff is friendly. It was super busy during breakfast on a Sunday morning, however, service was impeccable! Coffee was endless and our food came out very quick.
The food was amazing. Grits were cooked perfectly. Sourdough toast was buttered and golden. Sunny side up eggs had the gooey yolk. Bacon was crispy. Home fries were delicious (not deep fried)! Meat lovers omelette was the star of the show. Filled with sausage, bacon and cooked to perfection.
The diner is not huge but it was full. Since service is quick and excellent, the turnover rate moves along. Servers are continuously busy and helping patrons. It appeared to have a lot of regulars. Prices are great and very affordable. I would highly recommend Scottsville Diner and I will return when I’m in the area again.

If you love a classic family diner that’s really owned and operated by a local family, be sure to stop by Scottsville Diner. The service is unbeatable and the meals are HUGE. You won’t find many gems like this anymore.
We also ordered a couple omelettes, but we devoured them before we could get pictures. Too bad, because they were our favorite! They are giant and come with two generously portioned sides as well.

My husband and I have made coming here for breakfast a weekly tradition. It has everything you could want in a small town diner: good service, kind people, a clean space, cheap food, and delicious tasting food. Can’t get enough of it.

Lovely little breakfast corner in a little town. Main St location but nothing fancy outside to draw attention. Breakfast was perfect size to start the day, coffee was excellent, Waitress was speedy, thorough and lovely. Coffee was kept topped up before and after breakfast was served. Would definitely go again no hesitation!

My favorite place for when I crave home fries and their house omelet is perfect with the hint of jalapenos, onions and bacon. Wonderful service too! It has that comfy small town diner feel and the prices are very reasonable for the times.

Great little place to eat, tasty food, friendly service, comfortable surroundings at a reasonable price. Make sure to pay attention to the specials list as you walk in, all of the food is good, but quite frequently some interesting things can be found on that list. Today’s treat was chocolate Belgian waffle, with strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce drizzled over top, Oh My Yum!
