This place is AMAZING! So authentic, food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is so kind.
Highly recommend the passion fruit marg. The carne asada and carnitas tacos are to die for. The tortillas taste like they were made to order, like, right now. There is super fresh salsa bar.
This is some of the best Mexican we’ve had in a long time. We are from southern Cali and have spent a lot of time all over Mexico. We are always longing for that authentic Mexican cuisine. This place is it! I wish I had found it sooner!

I ordered via DoorDash today, but since moving here from NY three years ago, my children and I have been regulars at this location. It’s incredibly welcoming—we’re always greeted with friendly, comforting service. The atmosphere is nostalgic and feels truly authentic.
The Birria tacos are my personal favorite, while my children love the quesadillas and assorted beverages they offer we all favor the tostadas con carne asada as well and plenty more. We’re also very open to trying more of the menu, especially the soups. Everything is freshly made, and that care really shows and is deeply appreciated.

Great food, great service. I love how they have a salsa bar and you can just load up your tacos how you like them. They have about 5 different salsas and they are all very good! Tacos were a little smaller than what im used to back home in Chicago but flavor did not disappoint. I also had an Asada “sope” very good i have no complaints about this place. percent recommend for some authentic Mexican food.

Great meal! It was a carry out order, so I can’t really comment on the atmosphere. The food itself was very well prepared, generously portioned and well seasoned. When we went to pick it up, there were many people placing orders in front of us. One of the folks from in back came out to see if we needed help, and was able to share it was still being prepared. Totally appreciate the great customer service and the great meals!

Stopped in here last night for dinner with my wife. We shared a chicken quesadilla and it was good. Nice flavor but a little greasy. The rice was excellent.

I didn’t like it. The quesadilla was just too greasy. It upset my stomach. Actually the best thing was the cucumbers on the salad bar. I threw most of it away and ate some because I was so hungry. Here’s a picture. I’ve eaten there a few times but I don’t think I’m going back? The quality doesn’t seem to be the same.

We ordered foood for delivery through their website and our order was missing an entree when it arrived. I contacted the store and was told over the phone that they could give me a refund. I decided to drive to get my food because we still needed enough food to feed everyone. When I asked for a refund on even just the item that was missing I was just given a shrug and told they can’t do anything. I tried to explain that I paid for delivery, tips, drove out and now have cold food at home and that I was told over the phone I could get a refund but still nothing. What was really lacking was any communication or explanation, all I was given was a blank look and shrugging.
I have loved the food and the business and let them know, but the lack of customer support and changing up what was communicated was appalling and makes me really wonder if I want to come back.
When ordering delivery it will route through DoorDash, however after contacting DoorDash about the mistake they said the business itself is responsible for approving refunds. I would recommend booking directly through DoorDash so if you have any problems with your order you can go through their support not relying on the lack of customer support at Los portales.
Also to add when I got home and opened up the food I ended up having to go pick up it was still the wrong order!! I ordered taco birria and stated it multiple times and came home to open my box to a quesadilla. Luckily all their food is delicious but the service tonight was the worst!

All table and chairs are “high chairs” except for normal hight one in the corner. Not handicap or short people inclusive. There are picnic tables outside that allow feet on the floor. I suggest their location by the Los Portales Taqueria #1 for normal seating
