Surprisingly, good food! We just went there based on the website photos, and the ambience was not anything like what the photos were suggesting. Service was very good and food was good as well, but the ambience was not much more than a bar. These photos may not look the best because the poor lighting..

We are in the process of looking for homes over on Davis and wanted to stop by one of the local restaurants to check things out. Lets start with the place wasn’t busy. We walked in and stood in the doorway for around 10 minutes before we were greeted by a confused server asking what we needed. Apparently its seat yourself but no signs. We went outside, waited 15 minutes before anyone approached us for a drink or order. After receiving our food (cuban/french dip), we asked for ketchup and more of cuban mustard, and drink refills. Almost 20 minutes past. finally my husband went inside to ask again for those two condiments and a drink refill. The manager came outside and apologized and said he would make sure it doesnt happen and again and he would make it right. At this point, we were done eating. Plates had been taken from the table. another 15 minutes went by and we finally went back inside to ask for our check.

The food was fine for what it is. The place was filthy inside. Two servers plus the manager on duty and maybe 7 tables total, there was absolutely no reason for such horrible service. We wont be back. A short mid-saturday lunch ended up being 1.5 hours because we had to wait for literally anything we asked.

Went on a recommendation from a friend. We were greeted by the hostess at the door with their specials listed at the front desk. The waitress Nikki (?) and Renee were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and great outgoing personalities!
I ordered the Drunken Shrimp, a bowl of the French Onion Soup, Field of Fruit with Blackened Salmon, and my friend ordered the Lunch Asian Chicken Salad.
The Drunken Shrimp’s sauce was creamy and the right texture. We both wished it had more Sriracha in the flavor side of it because it lacked that warm spicy kick.
The French Onion Soup was excellent and I could have had another bowl easily!
The Field of Fruit With Blackened Salmon was mixed with great components that blended well together! Again, the only challenge was the salmon lacked that spiciness of the Blackened flavor. Otherwise it was cooked to perfection!
My friend loved his Lunch Asian Chicken Salad. It is his “go to” when he eats at 220.
A great dining experience and excellent staff!
Definitely worth a try if you are near Davis Island!

I visited 220 East last night while spending an evening on Davis Islands. I decided to stop in because the menu looked appealing and the place seemed busy. While the service was good, the same can’t be said for the food.

My friend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, which he said was mediocre at best and we were both surprised that the only pasta options were angel hair or bowties. We also shared some wings. The chicken itself wasn’t great, but the sweet Thai chili sauce was delicious.

I ordered a spicy margarita that was so hot it actually burned my lips. The waiter mentioned that the bartender isn’t consistent with how they make the spicy margaritas and doesn’t always realize how intense they can get. That’s unfortunate, because in the restaurant industry, consistency is key.

Excellent dinner option. I ordered the Chicken Thai Cobb salad. It was fantastic and was satisfied with just that. Others in my party ordered a burger and blacked salmon. Both of those were delicious as well, as I sampled. Staff is friendly, dress is nice casual, prices are fair.

We ate 220 East. It was delicious and quaint. I had Field of Fruit with Blackened Salmon. The Salmon was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender. The salad flavor blends were scrumptious. House dressing topped it off. Kev. had Burbon Steak. It was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend

Prices were much higher than online prices. Not busy at all but service was very slow. Took a very long time to get our food. Food was good though.
