Excellent menu, service and atmosphere.

Menu was great, lots of yummy breakfast and or brunch options. From simple eggs and bacon, to fancy sandwich. But the most amazing blast from my past. Cinnamon and sugar breakfast sandwich ( I grew up with kiddy-kat sandwich). It was so good.

Great brunch location and highly recommend.

Coffee , tea and cold brew!

Best avocado toast I’ve ever eaten! Not simply toast & avocado spread with egg but arugula, red onions, radishes, baby carrot slices, cherry tomatoes & egg yolk drizzle with other quality ingredients & flavors with whole grain toast, very healthy but delectable & surprisingly hearty. Matcha soy latte was the perfect compliment for a delicious breakfast in the heart of B-town. Friendly service; central downtown location across the street from the Monroe County Courthouse; paid parallel street parking; spacious & rustic interior; outdoor seating; moderate noise level when busy; highly recommended. Support your local small businesses & cafes.

This coffee shop is a whole *vibe* The staff is amazing, extremely friendly, and service is top notch. The atmosphere is super welcoming with touch of punk-rock and nostalgia. Not to mention the food and coffee is absolutely sensational. Probably the best latte I’ve had in YEARS. Forever marking this spot as my favorite coffee shop when visiting Btown from now on.

Inkwell is one of my favorite haunts for setting up a 3-4 hour dev session. Good wifi even better food. Forget Starbucks, this place serves actual breakfast!

Good Cafe vibes on weekends- I think.
Good Mix of tourists, locals, brunch go-ers, students, and travelers.
^_ If you like a bit more noise.

Think quieter and better for study during week.

Has “bar style” seating and more regular cafe seating.
Serves brunch cafe food — so you can be substantially filled, while working.

Good coffees and drinks. We tried the muffins which were also very good. Quiet comfortable space good for reading or work.

What a great morning! Anna and Marcy were simply adorable to chat with, what amazing people! Smiling, laughing and very helpful. The avocado toast was wonderful. So fresh tasting! The chia tea and white chocolate mocha were great as well. Busy but not crowded. Plenty of spots to sit and relax. Outside seating available and restrooms were extremely clean.

Probably the worst cafe experience that I have ever had. They had you a number and tell you that they will bring you your food and drink and it takes 45 minutes to get your toast (that’s cold) and I find out that my coffee has been done for 30 minutes and they just left it on the counter to get cold. Why tell people you are going to bring their order to them and then just leave it on the counter?

Lovely place for breakfast, although they also serve food other times. The coffee was good and the scrambled egg sandwich was moist and very tasty. It appears to me that the restaurant was an old tavern in a storefront. Cozy and fairly quiet, but not fancy. I will likely go back the next time I stay in Bloomington.

The coffee and baked goods at inkwell are good if a little pricey.

I’ve had the avocado toast and the daily, the avocado toast with an egg is a good value and tasty meal. The daily is a great little egg and cheese sandwich on a pretzel bun, which is reasonably priced for it’s size, $4.

My last time going in I had the waffle which was extremely disappointing. Paying $7.25 for a cold eggo waffle, which only comes with maple syrup and butter, is a very disappointing way to start the day.

The staff have been friendly in my experience.
