Had a good experience here. I came as a solo diner and they made sure that I am aware that I needed to order at least 2 meat items. Which was fine.
Service was quick and they were very attentive. You don’t have to do any of the cooking.
To me, the portions size is adequate for one person. I think that if you are eating alone, you could easily finish 2 plates of meat. I saw some comments on pricing and while I do agree that they are on the pricier side…the quality is very good. I don’t mind paying higher prices for better quality.
Side dishes are good. I like that they kept the dipping sauces simple.
Overall it was an enjoyable meal and I would go again.

Amazing food, great personable staff. A shout out to our server Sarah for providing us excellent service and introductory to Korean BBQ. Very much a social dining experience.
Perfectly cooked Special Combo & Fried Dumplings, very filling for 2 people (myself with a very hardy appetite).

I’ve been coming to Kim’s since I was a kid. Now I get to take my kids and give them the same special memories. It’s one of our favorite restaurants in the city and there’s really no place like it. No fuss, high quality/ authentic food, hospitable staff- for us it’s worth the splurge for special occasions. The variety of flavors from all the different banchans, sides, stews and meats makes for a meal that’s well rounded as it is satiating. Every bite is precious! We would prefer this over any bougie steakhouse any day. So happy to support and love on our family owned small businesses that are unique to Philly and have stood the test of time.

The $99 BBQ set here is a must-try — the flavor is amazing! Perfect for two, though the meat portions are a bit light. If you’re a big eater, you might need to order extra. Still, the food and service are totally on point. Highly recommend for a chill meal with friends or family!

Best Korean BBQ spot in Philadelphia, period. The service was great when I was there. Food is definitely 10 out of 10. Don’t forget to try their secret menu, it won’t disappoint you.

Its definitely a cozy family restaurant type of vibe and atmosphere. But the food is ok at best. The fried dumplings were in my personal opinion good but a little too oily if you can more than 4ish. The meat was decent. The little dishes they give you felt a little bit worse than last year but still good to pass the time. Service was decent to say the least.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, and we finally did! It was even better than I expected. The freshness of the meat, combined with the delicious sauce and a hint of charcoal smoke, was heavenly. The staff were very friendly and their service was amazing. They made sure to refill all the side dishes as soon as they were empty. We spent about $120 for two people. While the price might seem high, the preparation for the charcoal and the excellent service justify the cost. As someone who eats smaller portions, it was perfect for us. However, the portions might be a little small for those with big tummies lol. Overall, everything was fantastic, and I would definitely go back!

Definitely my favorite Korean Barbecue in Philly. Come hungry and come early before the rush.
The special combo is the best deal, the banchan is delicious, and soups are heavenly.

It was about $145 (before tip) for two people (three meats). Well worth it. Best K BBQ in town!
