Our fav spot in the Madison area! Totally unique dining experience unlike any other places we’ve been to. Beautiful restaurant, service is always excellent. The food is just like what you’d get in New Orleans, it’s fantastic. I especially love the duck, Louisianne’s is a true gem. If we lived closer we’d probably be there at least once a week.

Let’s get this out of the way: The service is top-notch and delightful! Kristi’s fab. It’s a nice relaxed atmosphere, though we do like our early reservations, so that helped with noise.

The stairs are steep; be aware. The food can be hit-or-miss. The seafood diablo special is highly recommended; good flavour all around. The jambalaya lacked consistency – some parts were hot (flavour and temp), others not. The soups were tasty, though the shrimp corn chowder was the better of the two. The crab puffs appetizer were delightfully delicate. There are many pictures of these plates already posted by others.

Don’t skip out on the dark chocolate creme brulee for dessert!

We were just there last night. Listen people, you need to go there…it is fabulous! First off, excellent service. by Shel our server. She was personable, efficient and attentive. Decor was unique and romantic. Above all, food was outrageously good! I had the seafood au graten…outstanding. Same for the Jambalaya. There was NOTHING we didn’t like. Bravo to you for the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Sincerely, Janelle Urben

Louisianne’s

Fantastic experience every time. The food is consistently excellent with bold Cajun flavors, perfectly cooked, and generous portions. The menu has great variety, whether you’re in the mood for seafood, classic Creole dishes, or something a little different. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Louisianne’s is a standout restaurant and an easy recommendation for both locals and visitors.

Great vibe and service. We had the pork tenderloin and jambalaya. Both were good. Not the best jambalaya I’ve had, but the portion was a lot more generous than I expected. The dark chocolate crème brûlée was a must have too!

Called the first week of January to make a reservation for Valentine’s Day. They do not send any sort of text/email confirming your reservation. Restaurant called me 2 days before Valentine’s Day informing me that I missed my reservation. Employee was very rude over the phone and insisted that it was my mistake. Of course now it’s too late to get a reservation anywhere. I’m sure their food is great but unfortunately I will never eat it. This could all be resolved with a simple text confirming your reservation. Ridiculous

It is difficult for me to write this review. Our server, Jamie, was incredibly wonderful. Most of the food was fabulous. The ambiance and Saturday night jazz piano were sublime. But, in all fairness, the problems we experienced were too egregious to ignore.

This venue is NOT friendly to those with disabilities. The entry stairs are steep, and many, with no visible alternate ramp or elevator.

We arrived just after opening. Our seating area was nearly empty. I immediately advised the server I could not eat hot, spicy foods and was assured they would adjust my preferred dish so that the Cajun spices were not added. We also ordered the appetizer sampler platter.

The platter took an inordinately long time to arrive, but was DELICIOUS! Our soups/salads were also top-notch. Then, we waited for our entrées … and waited … and waited. We became increasingly impatient, especially because most patrons who arrived after us were already eating their meals.

Our server did come round to apologize for the delay, but there was no offer of a complimentary drink, dessert, or discount. Finally, over an hour after we placed our order, the entrees arrived … with an apology because Cajun seasonings had been sprinkled all over the top of my roasted shrimp!

Now, I could not eat my dinner. They offered a new entrée, but I didn’t want to chance waiting another hour. Instead, I ordered a simple appetizer. They removed the charge for my entrée … but added a charge for the appetizer, which I truly felt should have been complimentary considering all the problems. To top it off, it took approx 20 minutes or so for the appetizer to arrive. By then, my companions were finished with their meals.

Thus, while our server did an outstanding job, because of (un)timeliness and (in)accuracy, I give service a low rating. And while most of the food was amazing, I gave it a low rating for the same reasons. Not really what I was hoping for during my first visit.

Great place for a night out. Food, service and facility were all excellent. Creme brulee and key lime pie are some of the best ive had.
Wish there was a way to try more of the menu items with a small group.

The atmosphere and ambiance were cozy and inviting. The vaulted ceilings and live jazz piano were just right for the sound.

Food was amazing. Crab cakes melted in your mouth. The Shrimp and Crawfish Diablo special was just the right amount of heat and the salmon with the REAL butter flaked perfectly. The real butter had a hint of lemon and possibly garlic?

The deserts were this pecan chocolate cake that was like a fudge brownie and so decadent. But the chocolate creme brulé was divine. Fresh whipped cream for both.

We will definitely be back and won’t wait for our anniversary next time!
