I ordered the tonkatsu ramen, the toboyaki, and the Thai tea. VERY good! The Toboyaki has a bit of a sweet element to it, which made it really pop. The ramen was delicious. I could’ve been happy drinking the broth alone, it was amazing. The ramen was cooked perfectly, the portions were worth it. The Thai tea was delicious. I got it with Boba. It was very refreshing, not too sweet. We went around 12ish, and by the time we got done eating more people were coming in. The workers that I interacted with and witness were very nice and sweet. we didn’t have a long wait time for the food. I felt they were very attentive. It was our first time here, and I would love to go back.

I came in as they opened on a Saturday. The inside is nicely decorated, relaxing music playing. I decided on the seaweed salad and Beef Teriyaki Bento Box A which comes with a cup of Miso soup, California sushi roll, tempura (2 shrimps , 2 sweet potato, 2 zucchini’s, 1 large onion slice) cup of white rice, ginger, wasabi, a nice piece of slightly steamed broccoli and of course the beef. It was all very fresh and well made. Very good flavor. The beef was tender with a nice subtle teriyaki sauce. The tempura perfectly cooked so the sweet potato was soft and creamy. They give you a nice size bowl for dipping in the tempura sauce. At first I thought it was taking some time for the seaweed salad (includes lettuce & thin strips of cucumber), however upon arrival you can tell it was made fresh, not sitting overnight. Seating is comfortable with wooden chairs that are lightly padded.
I definitely suggest you try their Bento Box (beef, chicken or salmon). It is so filling for $15 – $17 (chicken/beef). I had leftovers to take home. Good value for price.
Also nice for a date night or outing with friends. Very clean.

I heard this is Ozzie Guillen’s favorite restaurant so I came. Tried the Mexican roll and unagi nigiri here — so good! This place is a must try. I’ll definitely be back!

Ichiban Ramen is hands down one of the best spots in Homer Glen! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and modern. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home.
The ramen is absolutely phenomenal – rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and toppings that are fresh and generous. Every bowl tastes like it’s made with care and passion. The pork belly is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the spicy miso ramen has just the right kick without being overpowering.
Beyond ramen, the appetizers and sushi are also top-notch. The gyoza and takoyaki are must-tries, and their rolls are always fresh and beautifully presented.
It’s rare to find a place that nails both quality and consistency, but Ichiban Ramen does it every single time. If you’re a ramen lover (or just love amazing food), this is definitely the spot to check out in Homer Glen. Highly recommend!

This is my go to spot when I’ve got a sushi craving. It’s always so fresh and delicious and the owners are lovely people.
The sushi is great, the ramen is fabulous, and they have the best fried rice anywhere. My whole family loves this restaurant and it’s our place to go when we have something to celebrate.
I always look forward to eating here.

I’ve got quite the affinity for ramen and this quaint ramen shop was superb.
I ordered the Dan Dan , between the beckoning aroma, and amalgamation of fresh veggies and peculiar pork , this savory soup was supreme.
I also finished the entire bowl of edamame which was delicious. Service was exemplary, I had a perpetual glass of chilled water to quench my salty maw. Hmm, gotta try the prestigious crab ragoon next time.

Went in with the family reserved ahead of time just in case with valentine. Waiter took our order came back with a portion of our order asked him for some sauce while we ate what we had . My child got up twice to ask them for stuff he said I will get it to you completely ignoring us again for 20 minutes until again my child got up and asked the lady to give us sauces . I don’t understand how all the other tables around us got there food some costumer that went in and waited had already finsished there food and left .An hour into this the lady came again asked us for our order repeated it twice to her she left then II seen the waiter give another table there food those people where waiting even to sit down how did they get served and we are just sitting there . I got up and told her why is everybody else being served we got here an hour and a half ago most of the people came and went after us then she tells me oh it’s because the order fell on the floor after she came twice to the table because the server never came back to us . Never again. We felt there was unequal quality of service due to discrimination .

Food is always delicious
Update 2025: we keep coming back at least 1-2 times a month. Mia and Riley are a great team and the food is always fresh and tasty. And of course the owner lady is super sweet, always present, she always says hello and remembers her customers.

I’ve eaten ramen in many states… This is one of the most mediocre places I’ve ever been to. The woman was very sweet, but the restaurant is so slow. Our takeout order was supposed to be ready in 15-17 minutes and it still wasn’t ready when I got there about 26 minutes later. There were 2 ladies at a table who had to switch their order to takeout because it was talking so long…
Their egg is so old that it’s shriveled and discolored. The kamaboko (the pretty little fish cake) is almost rubbery and also dried out. Personally, I find it odd that they put corn in the ramen, as a filler obviously, but okay.. the pork was more fat than meat. The broth, which is the most important part of the ramen, tasted like salt, and it was thick at the bottom of the broth when I poured it. Extremely unimpressive..
I’m sorry guys, but I’m honest with my reviews, and while it was edible it wasn’t really enjoyable
