The only downside was my cheese and sausage. The cheese was cold, and the sausage had some unchewable gristle and did not seem fully cooked, so I only had a few bites. I did not mention it since we were at a social event, and I am confident it would have been addressed if I had. I also was not asked about it, even though it was mostly left behind, which could be a helpful quality check opportunity.
We loved our server. Friendly, attentive, and professional. I would definitely go back and try it again.
All the selections the Lady hostess recommended were ON POINT. The Pamento Mac and cheese (I know it sounds crazy) was the most surprising and hardest to stop eating. The Oysters appetizers lasted all but 10 secs at the table after trying the 1st one, lol. Burgers and fries are hard to compare with others, but I will say theirs is Top Tier. Our server Adam was very welcoming and provided his own recommendations for their signature meals (Fettuccine with added Chicken). We came back the next night for Great drinks and enjoyed the evening ambiance. We had their banana Mule “my new favorite drink” and a Last word. It is walking distance within downtown to try other restaurants, sight see, and shop.
Worth everything cent spent.
This is a hidden Gem in Kentucky and worth a trip of your in the area.
We will visit again.
Also the restrooms are one the you have to see for yourself, lol.
Art.. is in the eye of the beholder.. and conversation pieces… however we agreed strange pieces in a dining area.
Connected was the 21C museum and we walked through it after dinner expecting to see quite a lot of pieces in the main exhibition hall. There was one. There were several scattered about on different floors but if you are expecting to see many pieces… you won’t.
Then the entrees appeared: rye pappadelle, chicken schnitzel, flounder and a steak. Bravo to the kitchen! They were all praised at our table.
We ended with a couple of desserts. If you love chocolate, don’t miss chocolate torte. Wow.
Service was attentive, not intrusive.
Lovely place for business meal or special date night.
First of all, the positive. The chef obviously knows what he is doing. The food and presentation is top-notch with the possible exception of the bib lettuce salad which was unremarkable.
What happened to the wedge salad with crab? Only one salad option? Really?
Our entrees were all exceptional, with the exception that the flounder was served less than hot.
Desserts were very good! But, really? Only three choices?
I asked for decaf coffee which never arrived and when I inquired was told they were “out”. Ah—-really??
We had to ask for separate plates for the salads we made clear we were sharing. The wait staff presentation lacks any polish in training and attire. Our server was less than attentive and seemed overwhelmed.
Frankly, I was embarrassed as we had invited another couple to join us.
There was no special menu for New Year’s Eve which was another disappointment.
We will not return. Too many other better choices.
