Located in 21c Hotel. Loved the art on the walls! Atmosphere was great! I ordered an item on a new menu and somehow the ticket didn’t make it to the kitchen. Management apologized several times and removed cost from our check. Mushrooms and Grits were okay. The mushrooms/broth had a sweetness that didn’t seem to belong. My husband had Biscuits & Gravy & it was good. Fried potatoes were very crunchy & well seasoned.

Great Sunday brunch! Wonderful soothing music. Nick was a great waiter. Food was amazing. We had Eggs Benedict. The coffee was wonderful. The banana bread was outstanding! They were able to accommodate for gluten free.

Breakfast at 21c Museum Hotel Lexington’s Lockbox included Warm Griddled Banana Bread with cream cheese frosting and toasted walnuts. Should have stopped here… But there were Overnight Oats with chia, coconut, almonds, fresh berries, and mint. And perfectly prepared Smoked Bacon. All complemented by Dakota’s friendly, efficient service. Possibly my best-ever breakfast!

Always great food and service. Unique and eccentric atmosphere- would be a great place to take friends/family if they are visiting. Very LGBTQIA+ friendly.

So far had breakfasts twice on weekdays here. I brought work guests here both times and both were fantastic. Oftentimes pancakes can be risky that some places know what they are doing and some places have absolutely no clue (e.g., rubbery and hard pancakes more like rice cake texture..etc). The pancake I had this morning at Lockbox was fantastic and dreamy. I highly recommend this place, and especially if you like pancakes, try their pancakes.

My husband and I dined here for our 1 year anniversary a few nights ago, and it was our first visit since the kitchen changed hands and the interior underwent a renovation. While I’m sad that the weather art installation over the bar is gone (it was SO unique), I do like the separation of the bar and dining spaces, it feels much more intimate somehow. It was Sunday night and therefore not terribly busy, but the ambiance was super nice and we had the full attention of our server. I’d venture to say we liked the apps (hushpuppies and lettuce wraps) better than our shared entree (quail) and side (mac and cheese), but every dish had vibrant flavors and great textures. He enjoyed dirty martinis while I treated myself to a bottle of Prosecco (he helped a little), and we were too full for dessert. Afterward we strolled the art galleries (open 24 hours!) before heading home to our sweet baby – a very successful parent’s night out!

Great atmosphere. I’d you like art, you’ll like this place. Very limited menu. The food was good, not excellent, but good. I like the one better in Louisville, Proof 21c. LBGTQ friendly and promotional. lots of artwork.

Really enjoyed eating here with my colleagues on a work trip. We ordered a bunch of food to share, but we most enjoyed the wine list, the hushpuppies, and the “in jars” shareable. So many delicious spreads and snacks to try.
