Couldn’t ask for a better roadtrip dinner stop. Panda is one of our go-tos, especially since their recent more upscale redesigns, and this location was no exception! Staff were very friendly, and we had no wait to get our food. There were even fun window murals!
Ordered two plates: one with lo mein, orange chicken, & honey walnut shrimp, the other with steamed rice, orange chicken, and Beijing beef. Everything was fresh, fantastic, and portion sizes were generous, as always.

My husband likes Americanized Chinese food so we visited. It’s ok. The egg rolls were kind of greasy and it’s fast food so it sits there and is not super fresh out of the oil. Makes sense.
I just went because he wanted to go. The food is what it is. It is like a buffet so it sits there. The service is fine and the atmosphere is okay. The tables we sat down at were clean.
The food I’d probably say was 2, with the service and location I bumped them to a 3.

I ordered a plate of teriyaki chicken with fried rice. Nothing crazy. Nothing fancy or difficult (after all, it it “good food quickly”) either. Just a straightforward, Panda standard plate with teriyaki sauce to go and a fortune cookie. It was all ordered directly via their website and ready for pickup at the drive thru window in under 6 minutes (most of which was spent by me in true ADD form, indecisively bouncing around the online menu). I was handed the bag and I was back on the road. The scent was appetizing, and from the warmth of the bag permeating thru to my hands, I knew it was fresh off the grill. In my haste to return home I broke one of my cardinal rules of fast food dining. I DID NOT CHECK THE BAG (for accuracy) before leaving the drive-thru windows. Although not technically my fault, I’ve been doing this in one capacity or another for 40+ years now and that is one constant that holds true( at the drive thru especially)! It costs you nothing but 10 seconds or so of your time, and is your best insurance policy towards preventing a whoopsie from turning into a doomsday event. Today, the food outclassed the minor detail of a forgotten sauce packet and fortune cookie and I was able to enjoy it thoroughly anyway. Otherwise the service was professional and showed a great positive attitude . CEDAR BLUFF PANDA EXPRESS made me smile.

Panda Express on N. Cedar Bluff, we need to talk.
Your sweet tea is awful. It tastes like sugar water with no real tea flavor. This is the only Panda Express I’ve been to where the tea is consistently bad.
There is also no unsweet tea available in the dining area. If a customer wants unsweet tea, they have to wait for someone in the back to fill it, and because you’re understaffed, that wait can take a while. When I ask, I’m often made to feel like I’m inconveniencing the staff.
On top of that, please stop drowning the orange chicken in sauce. Too much orange sauce overwhelms the chicken and makes it soggy.
The service here also falls short. The Oak Ridge Panda Express always has tea in the lobby and genuinely friendly staff. The N. Cedar Bluff location should take some notes from the Oak Ridge Panda: better tea, better drink availability, better portions, and better customer service.

I went in to panda express today on January 10 through the drive-through in order two separate orders because I wanted to put one on cash and one on card. I wanted to get rid of my cash. When I proceeded to the window Kayla L Told me she would not honor my military discount for both orders. I told her that’s fine. She can combine the orders then so I can get my military discount. I literally come here because I’ve eaten at panda express since I was a teenager and always loved the fact that I get my military discount. She upset me because after I left, I realized that she had rung in the orders separately and not given me my military discount like she said she would. When I came back through the drive-through, I showed her the receipt and she said she would give me a spring roll, but I do not like spring rolls. I told her I just want it done correctly in my military discount given to me. She proceeded to get a manager and handed me back a dollar and some change, laughing at me and announcing the amount while talking down to me and being condescending. I really don’t appreciate that kind of service. Especially when she was the one that messed up. It honestly makes me want to file a serious complaint. As a veteran I go and eat at the places I know give me a veteran discount. I support the businesses that support our troops. And I’m proud to do that But if your employees are going to mock us for the discount that your company offers, I will never come back to another panda express again. I plan on sharing my experience with all my coworkers and most likely it’s going to hinder some of them from coming and eating there as well.

My first visit to this chain. I ordered the Pepper Steak bowl. Then I was charged extra for the steak!?
Uh, didn’t make sense to me but isn’t that like ordering macaroni and cheese then being charged extra for the macaroni?
Won’t be back!
On a side note, it was a pretty tasty dish

Good always hits the spot. Always a long drive though line. Sometimes up to 25 mins if after 5pm when people get off work. But workers always nice and I’ve never had a messed up order. Seems a little pricey to some but not too bad.

Beware if you order delivery. I ordered chow mein and they gave me fried rice which I’m allergic to. If I have an allergic reaction and end up in the ER I can sue because this is NOT what I ordered or paid for.
They also left out my drink which is stealing money.
If you don’t have the item just cancel and refund the order don’t send people stuff they didn’t order.
Carrot allergy!

Lisa is the heart & soul of the drive thru when she’s working it. Thank you for being an exceptional employee even when I’m buying food during a winter storm. Can we give her a raise!?!

I cannot complain. Our food was hot and prepared to perfection. Rayland and Addie were so kind and professional in putting our meal together. We had such a great time dining in. The staff has always been wonderful. Sometimes things don’t always go as planned. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait, but patience and understanding go a long way. This is our go-to Panda in Knoxville! When we lived in Salt Lake City, the nearby Panda Express was one of our favorite places. This one at Cedar Bluff is one we have been to more than once, and we will be back here again in the near future! Thank you, Rayland and Addie, for a great experience! Please, send our regards to your fabulous cooks, as well!
