Very good food and atmosphere. Wonderfully decoratedx with nice attention to detail. Portions were huge–packed enough for a whole nother meal.

As a vegetarian, I really enjoyed the fresh falafel and loads of greens in both the salad and taboule. Recommend stopping by!

We were in the area so made a stop to try out this restaurant. It was just amazing. The food was so fresh, delicious, juicy chicken and meat. The lemon mint drink was amazing. The bread they gave was super soft and delicious. HALAL Meat is served here. They were very accommodating and super nice. Clean restrooms with diaper changing stations. They do have hookah lounge which looked clean (I didn’t use it). Will come back again!!

Pleasantly surprised about the quality and cleanliness of this place. Excellent atmosphere and great quality food. My partner and I are quite harsh food critics and this place not only was authentic, but high quality and affordable. Will be returning with family and friends in the future.

We had a nice visit to Amasi Restaurant. The amasi maza with warm bread was fresh and delicious. The chicken parmigiana could have been hotter and the garlic bread was missed, but the flavors were still good. Mansaf was definitely unique and worth trying, even if it’s an acquired taste. We were hoping for the kabsa but they had run out that day. The restaurant is very clean, the waitress was friendly, and the atmosphere overall was welcoming, just a little chilly inside. I’d give it around 3.5 to 4 stars and would be happy to come back and try more dishes.

Service was decent overall, but the experience had some hiccups. We had checked out the menu online and were told when we arrived that they also had a buffet. I love a good buffet, but I wanted to make sure there’d be something our picky kids would enjoy and that a few of the dishes we came to try were included. The buffet ended up starting about 30 minutes later than what their Facebook flyer listed, and when we asked the waiter what would be served, he had no idea.

The drinks were fresh and delicious, and the food was clearly made fresh — but unfortunately, many of the dishes lacked flavor. Having eaten Middle Eastern food in Iraq and Turkey, I found the food here to be quite mild and missing that signature depth of spice and seasoning.

The vibe was cool, with a live DJ and plenty of space (not crowded), which I appreciated. However, the service could use some improvement. The female server came off standoffish, and both my husband and I independently felt like we weren’t being “trusted” customers. We live about 30 minutes away up on Mt. Bethel and had lost power earlier that day. It was cold and windy from trick-or-treating, so we were dressed comfortably — not fancy — (“Do not look at the vessel, but at what it contains.”) but still, the energy felt off.

The younger gentleman who seated us was by far the nicest and most welcoming person there.

Overall, Amasi has potential — the food was fresh, the atmosphere was inviting, and it’s a great place for someone new to Middle Eastern cuisine. But better communication, friendlier service would really elevate the experience.

What a hidden gem! We ordered 4 appetizers and split an entree and we left stuffed and with leftovers. The Bronzino fish was seasoned well and the rice that cones with it was excellent. Although it took a while for the entree to come out it was well worth the wait.
