I am a bit of a sushi snob coming from the Silicon Valley (California) and the sushi I had here is the same quality as what I had out in California. It’s been a while since I have had any sushi this good, and it was a really pleasant surprise, will definitely be going back.
PS : I don’t know what Jennifer is talking about, because whenever I asked for them to not put avocado on my roll they were more than accommodating and were actually really informative about everything on their menu. I guess Jennifer just doesn’t like sushi.

A hole-in-the-wall find out of the way in Penn Hills in an old mexican fast food place. It’s run by a very nice husband and wife and their cute little son that is often (quietly) playing at a back table when not at school. As so many people have said over the years, I’m so surprised they aren’t packed all the time. The sushi here is absolutely phenomenal (I have had their hibachi and it is also very good, but I can’t pass up the sushi). I usually come for the lunch special (11-3ish every day) where you can get 2 basic rolls for around $8 or 3 rolls for around $11 (a ridiculous steal!) but I have come for dinner a few times and gotten their special rolls which are also reasonably priced and delicious/a work of art. My favorites are the shrimp tempura roll, spicy tune roll, spicy scallop roll, and the tsuki roll, but I’ve never gone wrong with ANYTHING I’ve picked here and I’ve been going at least once a month for over a year now. Everything is so fresh and flavorful.
If you’re looking for a new sushi place or date venue that will impress and not break the bank, this is your go to place. I really cannot say enough nice things.

This is the best sushi burger king ever sold! No, seriously, The building looks like it was once a Burger King. Nevertheless, the food is amazing! The service is warm and inviting. I can not recommend Tsuki highly enough!

This restaurant is truly fantastic!
I wish I would have found this place months ago. We ordered take-out from Tsuki this evening, and couldn’t be happier.
The service provided is superb. Staff are efficient, friendly and polite both on the phone and in person. My entire order was ready for pick-up in less than 20 minutes, and I ordered a lot of food.
The food is also exceptional, and very reasonably priced. For less than $11, one can receive a protein (chicken, shrimp, steak and so on) done one of two ways with steamed rice, a spring roll, four California rolls and a generous portion of miso soup. Speaking of miso, their soup was absolutely perfect.
The sushi was fresh, artfully displayed and absolutely delicious.
As for the decor, a friend told me that it was actually once a Burger King. The drive thru still stands on the back of the building. If you look hard enough while inside, you can see it. Still, the atmosphere is pleasant.
Overall, this is a great place in a convenient location with terrific food, awesome prices and refreshing service. You no longer have an excuse to drive to Monroeville or Fox Chapel for good sushi!

This place is kind of blah as far as the quality of the fish is concerned. Their service, however, is the opposite of accommodating. I asked about whether or not there was octopus in several of the dishes because I was trying to avoid it. Instead they put octopus in the dish I ordered without telling me or asking if it was ok. They refused to replace it and seemed not to care at all about their business. I asked them to do whatever they thought was fair given the situation. They responded by complaining that they couldn’t do anything about the mistake because they had already cleaned up all the cooking and food prep equipment one full hour before closing time, and they weren’t able to make any adjustments to my $70 bill (for two people). If you want a great sushi experience, don’t go to a made over Mexican hacienda – style restaurant building where disgruntled people with marginal business communication skills serve you mediocre sushi according to their rules while ignoring your preferences and requests.

I used to really like this place, but today I called ahead for a pick up order and the lady was not very polite at all. I said, “You sound like you’re not having a good day. I hope it gets better”. She just ignored Me and continued asking “Is that all?”. She didn’t sound like the lady who is normally there. She wasn’t in sight when I got there. When I got my food home it was horrible. The crab rangoon, my son ordered, was filled with plain cream cheese with no “crab” onion or any of the usual seasoning, and instead of sweet and sour sauce to dip them in, it was spoiled duck sauce. The sauce was literally fizzing and smelled bad. The vegetable fried rice I ordered had shreds of meat in it. I’m a vegetarian. That didn’t work for me at all!! I called the restaurant back and the lady argued with me, “first of all that’s not meat!” I gave her a piece of my mind and hung up. She called me back with a COMPLETE change in her tone l. I am so disappointed. I used to go there all the time. I’m pretty much done. That was way too many issues.

I travel often for business and sorry to say that it’s rare that I try road sushi – most sushi restaurants either completely do it right or are terrible. Tsuki does it Really Well. I’d be a regular if I lived anywhere near here..
