I’ve been following Forbidden Llama on Instagram for a while and finally decided to try it. The drive was a little over an hour, so I went in with high hopes. We went for brunch without a reservation and were seated pretty quickly since it wasn’t packed.

The DJ played good music the entire time and the brunch vibes were great. The music was loud, but expected. Our waitress, Jennifer, was very friendly and attentive. Drinks were good, and the $3 mimosas are a great deal.

The food was good overall. My chicken lomo had great flavor and a really good sauce, and my friend’s enjoyed their meal as well. We also ordered two appetizers that were really good, and even got a ceviche that wasn’t on the brunch menu, which we really enjoyed.

One downside was the Hennessy shots, which tasted a bit watered down and was a little disappointing. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and brunch vibes. If I’m in the area again, I’d come back to try more food and drinks.

On Instagram, this place looks amazing, but the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The light for the 360 photo booth wasn’t working. I also took one bite of the pancakes and let the waitress know I didn’t like them. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she blamed the temperature and said,” you guys were taking pictures for like 30min before touching them” we did take take advantage of the photo ops l before our food arrived however “I don’t know if you’ve ever made pancakes before.” She then called the manager, who did remove the item from the bill. Unfortunately, as this was my first visit, the overall experience was disappointing. I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

The brunch service was excellent. Xavier was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. The place was still decked out for Valentines Day so the selfie action was great. The Dj was on point but the sound system needs some tweaking!

The vibe leans more nigh club than restuarant. Came with a group of friends for dinner. I had pollo saltado, which arrived cold. The rice was pretty good but the meal as a whole was not very good. We ordered filet mignon sushi which also came out cold and was not very good. The skirt steak was a very good portion. Although not cooked as ordered. The service and atmosphere badly lacking. The drinks were horrible. We had two margaritas that both had a major amount of salt in the drink itself. Not sure if that happened when the rim was salted but it made the drink horrible. Everything was so bad we didn’t even bother to send the drinks back. It’s a shame when you really want to support a local place like this but it seems they’re not even trying.

The vibe in this restaurant was welcoming and the decor was so nice. We didn’t have a reservation and Mauricio not sure if I’m pronouncing that probably. He was so kind and accommodating. We had to wait a few minutes, which was to be expected without a reservation, but got seated in no time. Jennifer was on point as our waitress. Very efficient. She made sure we had everything that we needed and gave great suggestions. Let me tell you the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone absolutely enjoyed their meal. Let me tell you the vaccine drink definitely was my favorite. The calamari was the best I’ve had in a very long time. Definitely recommend this establishment you will not be disappointed.

The service was so slow it took 30 minutes just to get my drink, there was only 3 servers working on a Saturday night. The food came out cold and also took about 45 minutes to come out. I ordered a Caesar salad and it tasted soapy. When it was time to pay they put another tables food on our bill. Music was so loud I couldnt hear the person next to me, so ridiculous wouldn’t come again

Came for bday brunch reservation with a group of 8. Food and drinks were delicious! Loved the Sugar Cookie Martini, Jalea Roll and rice bowl. Service was a little slow, considering we were one of few tables on a Sunday afternoon. Music was super loud, but that’s the vibe.

Update- I went again for Brunch, wow still a vibe. The food was much better, the service was still good, and the Dj was killing it.
I went for the brunch party and what a party it was, the music was good, a mix of old school rnb, reggaeton& hiphop. The drinks are good, the food was ok, could have been better but they make up for it with the service. They have a swing table, I had to try, I will be back to try something else on the menu, but I would definitely be back.
