You can’t go wrong with whatever sandwich you try so come back regularly like me. Lol If the pesto pasta is available make sure you get a side as it compliments the sandwich. My favorite so far is the Italian but my family and friends rave about the Via Verde. Family own business and you can feel the warmth in the services. Goodness takes time so enjoy the wait (if there is one) for your mouthwatering bite. Other sandwiche in photos is the BLT. ENJOY!

Amazing! I’m new to the neighborhood and went to Papas Best for the first time in November 2025. Simply delicious. I had the lunch special (1/2 a sandwich and fresh made soup-I chose BBQ) and my husband had a Cuban. We were blown away by how good everything was, and we’ll definitely be back. Also, the woman at the register taking orders was incredibly nice and had great menu recommendations, so bonus for the great customer service! Highly recommend this place!

I wish I had taken a picture of my sandwich, but I ate it too fast . Hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, better than any sandwich chain I’ve been to.
I ordered the Capitola Pastrami and highly recommend it! Their soups are also full of flavor.
My wife had the Avocado BLT, and that one is definitely worth recommending as well.

While visiting from out of town this past weekend, we stopped in because we wanted to try a local place for lunch. Our sandwiches were fantastic! The bread was amazing and my husband said it was the best Cubano he’d ever had! So glad we gave it a try and would recommend it.

Sandwiches are delicious, reasonably priced the few downsides are the sandwiches are small and the restaurant has an unsettling smell to it. Either way I recommend the place and get yourself a sandwich.
